Nathan Goldberg belongs to c2ndy2c1d

Nat couldn't believe it. His dad had forgot his birthday. How did a parent even forget their child's birthday in the first place? The man was there when he was born after all and yet his birthday had been completely forgotten in favor of some banquet he knew nothing about.

The teenager was quick to sneak out of the house when everything was being set up, going out to his car. He thought for a moment. Where was he going to go anyways? He rested his head against the steering wheel for a moment before deciding on the place. Kevin was out of town at the moment so he decided he would go to Double Dee's house to seek comfort from him.

He pulled out of the drive way before heading on to the road and to the cul-da-sac. Tapping his fingers against the steering wheel as he waited for red lights to turn green. Nat turned on the radio to help past the time as he drove.

The jock pulled into Edd's drive way about forty minutes later. "Please be home, Dee." He said to himself as he got out of the car and walked up to the front door, ringing its doorbell. Nat stuck his hands into his pockets and waited for a couple of seconds before the door opened to reveal Edd wearing an apron.

Edd blinked when he saw Nat standing at his door. "Nat, what are you doing here?" He asked biting his bottom lip. "I thought you would be out celebrating your birthday with your family." The genius said.

Nat was extremely happy when he saw that Edd was indeed home. "My dad is busy with some high class business banquet." He felt arms wrap around him.

"I'm sorry, Nat. Why don't you come inside?" He said letting the other go before stepping to the side.

The teal haired teen stepped inside the incredibly clean house. "I've been in your house several times not and still shocked by how clean it is." He told Edd as the other closed the door behind him.

The genius smiled. "How about we watch some movies and I'll make us some popcorn?" Edd said to the other. He had sort of been crushing on Nat for awhile, but hadn't gotten the nerve to tell him how he felt. Even though he was sure Nat had feelings for him too.

"Sounds good. I'm glad I'll at least get to spend my birthday with someone." He said walking over to the couch. "Can I pick out the movie?"

Double Dee frowned a bit at Nat's words. "Sure go ahead." The brunette said as he went back into the kitchen to check on what he had been making. He had to make sure that the birthday boy stayed out of the kitchen or it would ruin the surprise.

"I didn't know you had the Avengers." Nat said in the living room looking at Edd's moving collection. "You have Captain America, Thor, Iron Man and the Amazing Spiderman too." He said out loud. "I didn't know you were a geek too."

Edd pouted when he came back with a bowl of popcorn. "Excuse you, but just because I have a couple of Marvel movies does not make me a geek thank you very much." The brunette huffed sitting down on the couch.

Nat laughed at what the nerd said. "Whatever you say, Double Dee." He said putting in the Avengers before going to sit next to Edd. The two sat in silence as the movie played.

Halfway through the movie the oven started beeping. Edd placed the popcorn in Nat's lap. "Don't come into the kitchen." The brunette said as he went into the kitchen.

Nat blinked as he watched Edd go, he pouted a bit at being told not to go into the kitchen before returning his attention to the movie. He grabbed the popcorn a handful of popcorn before placing it into his mouth.

After a couple of minutes, he came back and grabbed the bowl. "I'm going to make some more popcorn. I don't want you coming into the kitchen until I say you can." Edd told him before going back into the kitchen. The truth was he had been working on something special for the jock's birthday when he came over. He was taking his time with the creation. "Nat, can you come here."

Nat paused the movie as he went into the kitchen. "What is it-" His eyes went wide at what he saw on the table. He was completely speechless. There on table was the most awesome homemade chocolate cake he had ever seen. There was strawberries on top and 'Happy Birthday Nat' written on top of it in white icing. There was also seventeen candles in it, exactly how old he had turned.

Edd grinned at the jock. "Happy Birthday, Nat." The brunette said to the teen. He waited for several minutes on a response about the cake before he pouted. "You don't like it do you?"

"What? No, Dude. I love it!" Nat said going over to hug Edd tightly. "Thanks." He then watched at the other lit the candles before singing happy birthday to him and quickly blew out all the candles.

Double D smiled before going in and placing a kiss on Nat's lips. "I'll get the plates." He said before going back to get them.

Nat touched his lips and grinned, widely. It was official. What had started out as a bad birthday had turned into a pretty awesome one.
