A.N. - if possible, read while listening to "Heartfelt Lies" by Ron Pope
His face glowed. Staring in pure bliss at the white angel walking down the aisle . she looked beautiful, as expected.
Her golden curls were loosely pushed up under her veil, and her small round face was laced with a smile staring at her awaiting lover.
I stood in the back, providing opportunity for a quick escape. My whole body was tense, arms crossed, feet rooted to the floor, biting my bottom lip.
Her father kissed her cheek, released her hand and returned to his seat one more thing that i would miss out on. My wedding (if the fates ever wish to grant me one) wouldn't contain a father daughter dance , handing over to the groom. No, i would walk alone.
.... to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and health, until death do us part." He rattled off, lost in her eyes. A burst of jealousy engulfed me, i loved him before her, we had helped each other, this was meant to be me.
Her father suddenly turned around, and caught my eyes, sympathy lacing his expression. His eyes screamed out, "i'm sorry." My eyes snapped shut and a single agonising tear dropped down my cheek. Damned blood-sucker with his freaky mind-reading abilities.
His eyes followed his soon-to-be father in law, he grinned wide, glad to see me there, but then he became confused, why was I in pain?
'I DO' she replied to the pastor not breaking her gaze from his face.
Flashes, of Emily and Sam disturb my thoughts, the same gazes, the same pain, the same agony.
He leant eagerly towards, and grinning he kissed her for the first time as husband and wife.
My emotions were getting to much for me tripping over my own feet and a chair i raced out of the house.
I was shaking and raced towards the forest, transforming into the massive grey monster.
Some glanced after me noting the disturbance, but all attention returned to the alter, as the pastor announced, "i now present Mr. And Mrs Jacob Black"
But i was too far away to even hear the cheering that escaped from the house.
I ran as fast as i could, with no particular destination in mind, just any where far away, where i can try and forget.
My dad, sam and now Jake....Maybe i was meant to be left behind
