This story starts from the point in the season finale of The Legend Of Korra. The point in the episode where Korra tries to save Mako from Amon by airbending. This story is what could've happened (But i'm so glad it didn't.. I'm not even kidding.) Be warned, it's rather morbid. There's death and such. Be careful.
Disclaimer: I don't own The Legend Of Korra or any of it's characters.
She punched the air.
Nothing.
Her energy drained, she swayed sideways and placed her weight on the wall of the long hallway. Only being able to watch in horror as the evil, which stood behind her friend, gently placed its hand on the poor kneeling man's forehead. This young man's expression was of utter terror. The powerless girl could do nothing to save her friend. She was so close yet so far. She could not move any further. She could not run to his defense. She could not do anything.
"MAKO!" she screamed
"ENOUGH" The dark figure uttered, as its piercing eyes darted towards the girl.
The young avatar could feel the piercing stare through the emotionless mask. She could feel how it controlled her muscles to its owner's will. She could feel her muscles and bones crushing from the pressure of her own blood trying to escape. Forced onto all fours, she looked away only for her head to be pushed up by her own muscles. Her gaze landed on the two figures before her.
"You shall watch. This is not an option. Now then," returning its gaze to the man under its hand, "you will be rid of your impurities."
"NO!" the young man screamed, snapping is eyes shut.
His eyes still closed, the kneeling figure collapsed; unconscious. The only sound that could escape from the young avatar was a small whimper. The pain was blinding and she watched as the unfortunate young man was lifted off the floor, his head down and feet lightly dragging on the floor, towards the window. The evil was standing off to the side with its arm raised, controlling the movement of the man. The evil laughed and turned towards the girl, who was still staring blankly at the floating man. She too was lifted off the floor and slowly floated beside the window. She stared at her unconscious friend; who was still being suspended in the air.
"Mako," she said feebly, "I'm so sorry"
The young man lifted his head slightly, opened his eyes, and glanced at the girl.
"Korr-
With that, he was thrown out the glass window; head first, into the lake below. Korra could not feel her body or the glass shards that had just been launched into her sides. She could only stare in shock at the splash her friend had just created. She knew too well that the impact with the window would have knocked him out. She knew that he would be tired from fighting and losing his bending. She knew he would not wake up.
She was forced to turn away from the window and look at the pure evil that had just condemned her friend do his death.
"I have something… Special… Planned for you; former avatar."
Korra felt the pain in her body intensify. She could hear snaps and crushing noises; not knowing they were her own bones. Her vision had almost gone. She could only see shapes and colors. She saw a large figure begin to walk towards her.
A/N
There might be some another chapter or two, but until then this is it. There might also be alternative endings. I have tree ideas but it's hard to decide. Go ahead and review and such, if you want. If there's some mistakes, go ahead and tell me. If there's something you don't understand, tell me. I'll try and help. New ideas are always welcome! Hoped you all liked it.
