The sunlight shone brightly through the TARDIS windows. The doctor awoke with a start, her mane tangled and rather fluffy. She stood up, half-asleep, and began to brush her mane. This was the first part of her morning routine. The second part was rather loud.
Once she finished brushing her mane using her unicorn powers, she stood on the first step of the staircase and yelled, "RIFT! GET UP OR SO HELP ME I WILL THROW YOU INTO THE EVERFREE FOREST!" There was a bump, a groan, then the sound of heavy hoofs as a pegasus named Rift appeared from under the stairs. "What time is it, Doctor?" the colt asked drowsily. "if you woke up on time, you would know that it is 7:45. Honestly, Rift, you can be so careless! Were you on your laptop playing Portal again?"
Rift sat down and started munching on an apple, obviously avoiding the question. After they both ate their breakfast, they walked out of the TARDIS and into Ponyville. All the ponies there were always so cheerful and friendly. Rift and Doctor walked through the town to Sugarcube Corner. A pink earth pony came out to meet them. "Hey there Doctor and Rifty! The usual, I`m guessing?"
Doctor pulled out 15 bits and said,"Yes, Pinkie Pie, thank you. Here is the money, and Rift would rather you not call him `Rifty` anymore." Pinkie Pie walked out then came back with a bag of food. Doctor smiled to Pinkie and walked out, Rift right behind her.
Doctor returned to the TARDIS to put away the food. As she was walking out of the TARDIS, Doctor got an uneasy feeling as she walked past a pie bakery. She had a feeling something bad was going to happen, and it had to do with pies...
