Her first memory was that of fire. It burned and licked and crackled. Embers flew from her hooves and the wind made the fire angrier. The lake was close enough to jump in, she might make it; she should have been able to make it.

And then another memory rushed past her, one of a frolicking blonde filly in a field of white flowers. That filly was beautiful and for some reason she felt a strong draw towards her. The filly with her delicate hooves and blue eyes ran towards her and this excited her. She was ready to meet the filly, but then all of the sudden it wasn't memories anymore.

It was the hard and cold ground. It was dark and there was a nerving light behind her. It was wet and burning at the same time. Her lungs felt like they were about to burst. Widened eyes glanced around at the stars above her and drew in a painful breath.

One last memory, her name, her real name, Riza-she struggled to get off the ground as the power of this memory filled her- Hawkeye.

She was on all four feet. Riza Hawkeye was on all four of her feet and as if by themselves, they set the three beat pace as she moved toward a goal still unclear but movingly close.

Her exhausted body pumped on.

This story was inspired by: Atomic Lightbulb's A Single Line about Ryou and Bakura. It was very deep and I wanted to make something deep as well, of course this isn't about Yu-Gi-Oh's characters but I was thinking about Ryou the whole time I was writing this! Tell me what you think.

The reason I wrote this was because I think horses are some of the most resilient and close knit group of animals along with a wolf pack. Thanks for reading!

Who do you think the filly is?
