1024 is the new 512
"You know what?" The blonde asked, swiveling his chair to face the brunette next to him. "Threshold Mesa sucks as an operating system."
"How troublesome… I told you to go with the new Pomegranate CS V Panther, but 'Nooo! Pomegranate computers are wayyy too expensive! Macrohard Threshold XD was good, so let's see if Macrohard has improved!'. Idiot." The brunette said, fiddling with the ponytail at the back of his head in irritation. "Macrohard has come out with two actually useful operating systems. Threshold '96 and XD. Otherwise they suck. Hard."
"Yeah, but I can't exactly get XD again! It won't let me downgrade to the better system, as oxymoronic as that statement is. And I can't even really use Pomegranate computers for gaming! There's like… oh what? Barely even a fifth of the games for Pomegranate as there is for Threshold!" The blonde pointed out, gesturing wildly at the end. How could the blonde use a system that didn't even let him blow his enemies into smithereens with intense 16 player free-for-all bloody online combat!
"Errrrrrrrrrgh… you're so troublesome…" the brunette sighed in exasperation. The blonde didn't even realize how much of an idiot he was being. "They have CS V Panther ROTC for that reason. You can install Macrohard Threshold onto a Pomegranate computer, and the games along with it."
"… wait. What? You can do that?" the blonde Threshold user paused a moment after hearing this little nugget of information. He could get a Pomegranate computer… which according to the brunette, was far superior to Macrohard equipment… and install all of the "Pastimes for Threshold" games… which means Cogs of Combat online… sixteen player… blood… superior graphics… RAM… sound card… but… but… "But it's so expansive!!… I mean expensive! Pomegranate computers cost way more than Threshold computers!"
"But it's worth it. Seriously, with Mesa, 1024 MB of RAM has become the new 512. You need that to run Mesa as a minimum, and it costs tons more to upgrade it to better. With Pomegranate systems, your at least guaranteed to run everything efficiently without too much lag, if any at all. Stephen Works made sure of it."
"But… but…"
"Just go out and buy a damn computer and find out yourself, you troublesome moron! Jeez, Naruto… You're worse than Ino. At least she listens to me most of the time when I give her advice."
"Stuff it, Shikamaru!"
Lol, so this is my first one-shot. Read it and agree!
actually... I run off a Threshold Mesa, and an XD myself... but I hope to fix this when I get money. I plan to install my copy of XD on CS V Panther ROTC when I get the chance.
By the way... I don't know if everyone will get the jokes and puns I used in this. Read 'em and weep, computer illiterates!
