Mine

Just a quick one-shot that was inspired by a book I'm reading. Hermione and Harry have an argument about their significant others. Exactly 150 words - not counting authors note at the end and no matter what the site says! Could be prequel to slash.

"Mine's taller."

"Mine's badder."

"Mine's more rugged."

"Mine's more sexy."

"Mine's a Keeper."

"Mine's a Seeker."

"Mine could beat yours up."

"Mine could hex yours 100 ways from Sunday."

"Mine's sweeter."

"Mine's passionate about everything."

"Mine has a sense of humour."

"Mine has a sense of sarcasm."

"Mine has a big family."

"Mine has a rich family."

"Mine buys me things even though he doesn't have much money."

"Mine knows I like sharing."

"Mine respects my opinion."

"Mine always challenges me."

"Mine's one of my best friends."

"And if you break up?"

"Mine loves me!" Hermione immediately clapped her hands over her mouth, appalled at having let that fall from her lips. There was silence as her friend looked at her bitterly.

"Mine plays for keeps."

The unspoken "for those he cares enough about." hung in the air.

And she watched as her best friend turned his back to leave.
