T was awoken from her dream by a familiar aroma. It was that of cinnamon, it brought back memories of home. She came from the cold mountains of the north, and her father would make cocoa with cinnamon to provide her warmth in the early mornings. The sky was growing dark, T knew there was to be a storm soon. She remembered how she visited towns in the south with her father and danced in the rain when she had the opportunity. It did not rain in the north, only snowed endlessly. But she was always happy for she had her father and his friends for company, and she had her cocoa and cinnamon. T walked out of the in smiling and humming a merry tune. She looked over and saw a small group of children playing with a ball made of leather and began to chuckle. Then the feelings of outrage came as she noticed what the game was. They all took turns tossing the ball just out of the reach of a small girl of obvious mixed blood. She walked over to them and took the ball. "Hey what's the big idea you freak?!" One of the human boys replied. She simply sneered at him, showing off her teeth and the three boys ran off. She could remember when she was younger and no one ever showed her any kindness. She smiled and picked up the girl in her arms "Well hello there, I'm T. What's your name?" The girl looked up into T's eyes and smiled "I'm Berna." She noticed the girl had a rip in her ragged dress and pulled a string and needle from her pouch. She fixed the dress and kissed the girl On he top of the head "Would you like to play ball?" The girl was exited, and they spent time tossing the leather ball back and forth until he rains came, and the girls mother came to take her home.
