Drabble #1: A Typical Saturday
Aria Belle Montgomery's Pov
I was waiting; waiting for Ezra to get back from the grocery store. He was picking up some Chinese for us to eat. Me? I was browsing all the movies available in his English themed apartment. The sun shone through the checkered curtains. The window was open to a bright spring afternoon. It was Saturday, a day reserved to spend all day together while Spencer covered for me.
He finally returned when I had finally settled on a movie. The smell of fried rice and Stir Fry filled the small, studio apartment. I gave him a 'welcome home' kiss and grabbed the containers from him and set them on the coffee table. I had made coffee while he was out and poured it into his 'I Love English' mug I had gotten him for his birthday in April. I got my designated mug from the hickory cabinet. The mug was a teal blue, my favorite color. I tipped the black rich liquid into my cup and breathed in heavily as the smell of energizing caffeine filled my nostrils.
We lounged on the couch and watched movie after movie. Soon it was 6 o'clock and growing dark. I was 'spending the night at Spencer's'. Ezra and I went out to get a bite to eat and settled on an Italian restaurant. I got Spaghetti and he got Eggplant Parmesan. We talked over dinner just like teacher and student showing no PDA at all. It just wasn't safe. I had told Ezra about 'A' a long time ago. Apparently, 'A' had laid off. She hadn't done anything.
Once we were out of the restaurant, it was fully dark so we had no need to worry. We got in the car and drove to his house. We ended up watching another movie and I fell asleep on his chest. My head was soon filled with happy dreams as my head lay on his chest.
