Hello everyone! This funky little story is based on three pictures that I recently saw, the first of which was Korra looking very scared, the second was Nick Cutter from Primeval walking with a gun hand from the ARC, and the third was one of the fighting griffins from The Chronicles of Narnia series.
This story involves no spoilers for any of the affiliated shows. Please just enjoy. :)
Korra backed up, terrified. Two men were approaching, two men who didn't seem very happy. One was armed and dressed in black and the other was wearing a dark grey jacket with a plethora of pockets. She vaguely thought that the clothes were odd; they weren't anything like the warm Water Tribe jacket and breeches she was wearing. The thought had just finished forming in her mind before the large eagle-lion swooped around once again.
"Ge' back!" shouted the man in grey—obviously he was more concerned for her than he was unhappy. She was glad that his look of anger wasn't aimed towards her anymore; although she was the Avatar, she still wasn't used to people being angry with her instead of grateful for her help.
Korra quickly air-bended herself up into a crouching position, her back to the approaching men. "I've got this, you don't have to be afraid!" Korra shouted in reply.
"Why would I be afraid? You just got up wit'out touching the ground and it's not like griffins are magic or anything," the strange man in grey said sarcastically. He motioned for the man with the gun to raise his weapon. His orders were quickly completed, the gun's tip pointed at the flying creature and his finger firmly on the trigger.
"No, stop!" Korra yelled again, trying to defuse the situation. She wasn't entirely sure what the odd weapon was but she knew it would harm the eagle-lion that she had followed through the sparkly lights. She was just trying to tame a wild hunting animal for Tenzin and she knew that the animal would be tricky to master, but she didn't realize all the trouble that the two would get in.
When it didn't appear as if the men would listen to her she quickly struck her fist out, as if to punch the gun, and simultaneously stomped her foot. The gun crumpled like an accordion, completely useless. Both men were too busy looking at the one time weapon to notice the teenage girl air bend herself up and onto the eagle-lion's back. The animal bore the load reluctantly but still followed her lead when she quickly urged the large animal back through the sparkly lights. Soon all traces of the two intruders and the anomaly were gone.
Nick Cutter, renowned scientist and expert at the Anomaly Research Center, had no idea what to write on his report that afternoon.
