Seeing the Golden wolf, Link drew his sword and shield. The Wolf pounced and knocked him over. Link awoke in the ether, and standing before him was none other than the Hero's Shade. "You are finally here. I have one final technique for you to learn", the ghostly decaying warrior said. Link asked "What is this final technique?"
Upon seeing Link master the final technique, the Hero's Shade said "My final goal has been accomplished." Link asked "Could you please explain why my learning of these techniques was so important to you?" The Hero's Shade paused and answered "Yes, I have much explaining to do. Allow me to show you my true form" and with that, he began to change before Link's eyes. When the change was complete, Link thought he was looking in a mirror. The Hero's Shade had become almost an exact replica of him. "I was once known as the Hero of Time. After I first defeated the evil in Hyrule, I desired to pass my knowledge of combat to my descendants, but did not live long enough to do so." Link intently listened to every word The Ghost had said. "You are my descendant, Link. I did not live to see your birth, but I have at last fulfilled my goal. Now that it is done, I can finally be with my beloved." The Hero of Time Turned towards a large coffin and opened it. The coffin had been built to fit two bodies in it. Link gasped upon seeing the inside of it. Lying inside of the coffin was the body of a young girl. Her shoulder-length green hair was held in place with a dark green band. She wore a dark green turtleneck underneath a sleeveless bright green tunic, and a pair of matching short pants and boots. Clasped in her hands was a tan Ocarina with a green triangle etched into it. The Hero of Time climbed down into the coffin beside the girl and reached up to close the lid. Right as the lid shut, everything around Link faded to white, as the Hero of Time's voice resonated through Link's ears. "Go, and do not falter, my child." Then, suddenly, a young female voice said "we will always be watching over you." Link was unsure of who the voice had belonged to, but it had reminded him of Ilia…
