Another Thomas rewrite, this time it's "A Bad Day for Harold" from Season 6, with added lines by tate310. Enjoy and comment.

Harold the Helicopter loves flying up in the clear blue sky over the Island of Sodor, looking out for anyone in distress.

Sometimes he delivers the mail. This makes Percy very cross.

"The mail run is done!" said Harold.

"Is there anymore mail? I can deliver it in a jiff?" replied Percy.

"That's what friends are for!"

"Taking the mail is my job!"

Percy has other jobs, but carrying the mail is his favorite. It makes him feel really useful.

The next morning, Percy was happily pulling the mail train, when trouble occurred. The signal box was broken!

The workers didn't know how long it would take to fix the signal box, so Percy had to stop.

"It's not safe for engines to run without signals." said his driver.

Percy was upset.

"I'm going to be late and it's not even my fault!"

Sir Topham Hatt was enjoying his cup of tea and toast when he heard the news.

"Percy is stuck at a broken signal box? Then Harold must take the mail."

Poor Percy was still waiting for the signal to be fixed, and he was still very upset. The last time he was held up, Harold had to take the mail.

"It made me feel like a really useless engine!" he sighed.

"Well the mail must be delivered on time." said his driver.

Just then, they heard a familiar sound coming from above! It was Harold!

"Hello there!" he said. "Sir Topham Hatt says you need my help! That's what friends are for!

"Oh no!" cried Percy.

But there was nothing Percy could do.

Percy's driver helped load the mail into Harold's cargo net.

"Maybe we should take the mailbags a few at a time." said Harold's pilot. "They're really heavy!"

"But then I'll be as slow as Percy!" laughed Harold.

So they loaded all of the mail into Harold's net, while the engineer continued to work on the signal.

Just as Harold took off, the signal began to work again!

"It's fixed!" cried the signalman.

"Wait Harold!" called Percy. "The signal is fixed!"

But it was too late! Harold was way above the sky, and couldn't hear Percy at all.

Percy watched the mail disappear. He was very upset, until he heard a strange sound.

Then, there was trouble.

"Watch out for those trees Harold!" cried his pilot.

The pilot lowered Harold down, but it was too late. The net got stuck in the trees, and Harold crashed right into a haystack! Thankfully, no one was hurt.

Percy soon arrived to the site of the accident.

"Are you alright Harold?" he asked.

"Please go and get someone to get me out!" muffled Harold from underneath the haystack.

And so Percy set off as fast as he could to get help.

The next day, Harold was flying again. All the other engines were glad to see him again.

"Want to take the mail?" Percy teased.

All the engines tooted as Harold flew away.

"That's what friends are for!" said Percy happily.
