When Soul and Maka finally get their 99th soul, Shinigami tells them to head to the city of Magnolia along with Black Star, Tsubaki, Kid, Patty, and Liz. Maka sensed there were evil witches and wizards there, so it's their job to get to the bottom of it. Soon the students realize that all magic users aren't evil, and they join together with fairy tail to fight a new threat.

Chapter 1-'99'

Soul's POV:

"That's 99!" Maka practically yelled in my ear.

"Are you serious?!" I questioned just as I finished slurping down the soul of Jeff the Killer.

"Yup, Black*Star will be so jealous." Maka assured me with a smirk on her face.

"Let's get some rest before we go find a witch." I suggested.

"Okay, pull the scooter around, I'm sensing something right now." Maka ordered. I began leisurely walking back to where we parked earlier.

It's been a year since we killed the Kishen. We haven't changed much, except Black*Star is even cockier than before. And now I'm gonna' become a death scythe! Maka and I have been studying and training extra hard, so we've been anticipating this for a while. I decided to stop day dreaming and hurry up. I grabbed the scooter and rode it back to where Maka was.

"Hey Soul! Hurry along, we need to talk to Lord Death immediately!" Maka sounded urgent, so I saved the dumb questions and started driving back to Death City.
