Great. Now that I've written and posted the prologue, I can't seem to get this out of my mind. So, to get this out of the way, this chapter takes place a few months (for Lucas, it's been a thousand years for Ness) after Lucas and Ness left the Smash Mansion, for those who read the prologue.

Enjoy the first chapter, y'all!

Chapter 1:

The Meeting

Lucas shivered, fear wrapping around him like a scarf. He knew this was the craziest thing he was ever going to do, going to talk to the Dragos. But he had to do it, and anyway, people were going to die if he didn't.

But he had only taken a few steps out of his house when a young boy, dressed in black robes and a black mask hiding the lower part of his face, surprised him.

"Who are you?" Lucas asked, quickly withdrawing his stick from its hiding place. He had a bad feeling about the boy in black.

"Your worst nightmare."

"Your worst nightmare."

He swore as he watched the young (yet familiar) blonde boy swing a stick around, as if it made a difference against his body. Get away! he wanted to scream. Go and do whatever it was you wanted to do, just stay away!

But how could he? The glass box was unbreakable, and he knew, he just knew that when he screamed at the boy to run like all hell, he wouldn't hear him.

He slumped down to the ground again, and felt hot tears sting his eyes as he heard his voice taunt and mock the young boy outside.

Lucas dove as the boy in black unleashed another barrage of psychic attacks, dodging all but one that grazed his knee.

"Ow…"

"What's wrong?" the boy mocked. "Do you want Mommy to kiss your boo-boo better? Oh, right, I forgot! Mommy's gone, and so's Daddy!" He laughed, an evil, soul-tearing laugh.

That made Lucas mad. Brandishing his stick, he charged forward with a loud, "DON'T BRING MY FAMILY INTO THIS!" Ignoring the pain in his knee, he slammed the stick over the boy's head many times.

"YOU (slam) WILL NOT (slam) SAY ANYTHING (slam) ABOUT MY PARENTS!" He punctuated the final word with yet another slam.

The boy fell to the ground, unconscious.

Lucas sighed, then ran off, not wanting to stick around to see if he woke up.

"Well. Damn."

He smiled as he watched the blonde boy run off. While it did hurt when he slammed a surprisingly heavy stick against his head, the boy impressed him.

"Never thought I'd see the day when someone was brave enough to hit me like that," he murmured, then drifted off to sleep.

From there, the game proceeds as normal. At least, what passes for normal. But watch out for the appearances of Poo, Jeff and Paula in the next few chapters! (Also, I think I rushed this...tell me if it's okay, please!)

Read and review, I won't bite!
