Just a Peck on the Lips and That Look.

Clare Edwards fumed, walking into Degrassi, next to her best friend Alli Bhandari.

"Clare, don't you think you're overreacting?" Alli asked, quickly following behind the hot-headed teenager. Clare's head whipped around, red as a tomato, and Alli held her hands up in innocence.

"Kidding. Kidding."

Eli had told Adam that Clare was on her "time of the month," which she was, but Adam definitely didn't need to know that. Eli especially didn't either, but during his visit, the previous day, he had found a bit of "evidence" on top of Clare's trashcan. Clare had been mad at him minutes before and after finding the piece of trash, he blamed her anger on her "hormones." Eli, later, had gone to Adam's house and told him about him and Clare's little tiff. Also about the little "evidence" in her trashcan.

Most people wouldn't have been as mad as Clare, considering Adam did have a girl body, meaning he went through the same things as her, but that didn't stop Clare from fuming.

"Clare, I'll see you at Lunch." Clare was so wrapped up in her thoughts on how to kill Eli, that she hadn't even heard the tan-skinned girl. Alli rolled her eyes and strutted off to her locker. Clare spotted the hearse-driving boy stuffing items into his locker and Clare marched up to him, smacking his arm.

"Well, hello to you too, Sunshine." Clare gritted her teeth and lowly growled at his response.

"How could you tell Adam I was on my.. you know.. and that my 'hormones were making me angry?'" Eli had at first been shocked, not expecting his best friend to tell his girlfriend what he had said. Afterwards he just calmly shrugged, stuffing an English textbook into his locker.

"That's all you do? Shrug? No good boyfriend would treat a girl th-"

Eli cut off Clare's rant with a quick peck on the lips and Clare's knees slightly buckled, but she kept her composure. She glared at Eli, not exactly trusting her voice at the moment. She found the courage to speak.

"Eli! You can't do that every time I get mad at you!" Clare exclaimed, but Eli merely stood there. He tilted his head, using a look similar to a puppy pout, not exactly, and his lip quivered for a mere second. Clare felt her anger defusing by the second and she cursed herself for it. Her shoulders slumped and she pouted.

"Fine. Whatever." Clare sighed, defeated and Eli put on a winning smirk.

"Works every time." He draped his arm around her shoulders as the bell rang.

Clare would never admit it, but he was right.

It did work every time.

A/N: Sorry for suckish ending line. :P Anyways, this idea popped into my head and I had to write it. :) I couldn't think of a reason for Clare to be mad at Eli because I'm that stupid, so I just put that for the reason. :P I hope you liked it. :) Please review. It means the world! :D

Love,
Dominique:)
