The True Meaning of Irritation
AN: I own nothing (so sad). I wonder if I wish hard enough if Jareth will come and patronize me some? It might end a little differently. ;D
Sarah pinched the bridge of her nose in an attempt to ward off the oncoming headache. Why was it whenever she thought they could get along they never could? There he was in all his Goblin King glory, smirking of all things, lounging on her bed. She was packing for college, which should have been one of the simplest things about college. But no, the Goblin King just insisted on helping, which was always more of a hindrance than a help.
Sarah and Jareth had patched up their relationship after the Labyrinth became so unstable that the king no longer could control it. After three years, and much fighting on both parties, they had both established a friendly relationship.
A deep chuckle pulled her from her thoughts and brought her to the most current irritation that happened to be lounging on her bed. She pulled her hand away from her face and sent a scowl in the direction of the king. "What is so amusing to you?"
Another chuckle was his reply as he laid the rest of the way down, crossing his gloved covered fingers behind his head and crossing his legs and slightly bouncing his riding-boot covered foot against the wall, quickly matching the pounding sound that was in her head.
Finally, feed up with the cryptic-ness of the Fae, snarled and threw the nearest object to hand at his fluffy head. I quickly disappeared into a shower of glitter with the raise of a hand. That's it! I'm going to kill him! Her thoughts seethed. Just the smallest of movements stopped her, he had moved his head just enough so she could see his mismatched eyes sparkling in amusement at her.
"Something troubling you precious?" His low drawled out sarcasticly.
She snapped. "WHY are you even here! You're just sitting there doing nothing! When all last week was you just tagging around begging me to let you help me pack for college! You've just sat there smirking at me while I'm trying to pack!" At the end of this rant, Sarah came to find that Jareth now had the look of the cat that had gotten the cream.
With a wave of his hand, everything that Sarah needed for college flew into her luggage bags and packed themselves. After the bags had been packed, he turned and looked at the now heavily breathing Sarah. "You know," he drawled, "If you wanted help all you had to do was ask for it." He smirked and dodged another thrown item. "Come come Sarah, I thought you had passed all phases of adolescence."
"UGH! YOU ARE SO INFURIATING!" She yelled.
He laughed out right now. She started to move forward but all he did was say, "Good day precious." With a smirk, and disappeared in a shower of glitter.
"AGH!" Sarah screamed. Such was it put in her brain, that Jareth, King of the Goblins, was the most irritating being in the Above and Underground.
