1. change look of something: to change the way something looks, especially by adding different colors
2. Add variety: to add variety to something

It's the little things you miss. You never realize that they hold so much importance in your life until they're gone. One of the biggest things I miss in life is colors. Anything other then green would suffice.

Day in and day out, everywhere you look is green. The clothes you wear, the tents you sleep and eat in. Even the latrine has a hint of green in it. Even the food looks an unhealthy shade of green at times. The only break you get is when you're in the operating room, and then the only colors you see are white and red. White, the color of the clothes you are wearing and red, blood from innocent children, people, who are victims in this hideous war.

I don't think I'll ever look at green the same way again. Such a shame, though, because Peg has a green dress that she looks absolutely ravishing in. I don't think I could stand to see her in it, nor do I believe that she would fully understand.

I would love to see any other color except green, red or white. Yellow, aqua, burgundy, purple, orange, anything, anything would do, anything would take me away from the swirling, never ending torment.

Never would I have thought that colors would make all the difference, now I know. Colors can be the difference between staying sane or diving over the proverbialcliff to insanity.

It's the little things you miss. You never realize it until they're gone.
