Isabella storms into Fenris' mansion.

"What is it?" he asks annoyed, taking another sip of his wine.

"It can't go on like this. Hawke is miserable, you have to end this, one way or another."

"I don't know what you mean, she seemed okay the last time we met." He shakes his head. "But all this is none of your business."

"Isn't it obvious that she just pretends in front of you? How can you be so naive? I just saw her breaking down in her room, tears running down her cheeks, mumbling things like 'this was never meant to be, if he would never change his mind' and I just can see her anymore like this. I KNOW, this isn't my business..."

Fenris looks down on the floor, speechless, not knowing what to say or what to feel. He never intended to hurt her. No, he wanted to hurt himself and hoped she'd hopefully hate and leave him.
He thought that if he pushed her away, he'd be the one to suffer more. He deserved it. Still, he couldn't leave her entirely..

"I don't know what exactly happened between you two" Isabella argues, breaking the short silence "but you said yourself that it is done, while at the same time you're wearing her crest and all. Like last night at the hanged man. If you really broke up with her, then why are you jealous when other people come close to her?"

"This is enough!" Fenris' anger rises. He feels unable to reveal anything else.

"Just let me finish: what I wanted to say is.. either work things out with her or let her free. This current state is just sickening to look at."

"You should leave, Isabella."

Sulky she leaves the mansion.

In his rage and desperation he throws the bottle of wine at the wall. Of course he knew all those things, but he felt unable to talk about it.. with anybody.
All of this self hatred wouldn't allow him to act, making him even more wretched in the process. He told himself he wouldn't deserve her and that there were no other options for him.

"I'm a coward" he whispers, as he let himself fall back into his chair.

Sometimes he wonders, if he should just return to Tevinter? Is he still the same person that killed the Fog Warriors when Danarius commanded him to?
No way! He made his own decisions, he never wants to go back to this life. He wants a new life, free from all the pain he had to endure and all these horrible thoughts that he still has.

It is hard for him to admit, but Isabella was right. He had to do something. He wanted his new life and it cannot be without Hawke.
