Legacies

This is a poem about Allana Solo's feelings during the events of the series of Legacy of the Force. (Yes, that's where my super-original poem title comes from!) It is written from Allana's perspective and addressed to her father, Jacen (or, shall we say, Caedus), shortly after her kidnapping by Caedus. In the poem, "you" is Caedus and "Mother" is Tenel Ka Djo (who is pretty awesome and really underrated, in my opinion).

I own nothing. Please don't sue!

Please read and review! Even if you don't like poetry and just want to put :) or :(, I would really appreciate it. Thanks! Hope you enjoy!

Legacies

Mother says she ceased to love you
When you put on humble pride.
She says around when yours did,
Her spirit also died.
Yet still she holds on to life,
Hapes, and her child besides.
And I wonder why it should be that
A Jedi princess lied.

Mother says that her heart's healed now;
I saw the fire rise.
And she says we must blow your ships
Right out of the skies.
But still I saw pure crystals fall
From the corners of her eyes,
And I wonder why it should be that
A Queen of Hapes cries.

Mother says that around your touch
Life used to freely flower,
Innocent plants and Vong alike
In green and shaded bowers.
But now around you auras of
Metal and cold death tower.
And I wonder why a Jedi king
Should grasp so after power.

And I saw thrones of white light
Diamond-encrusted stars,
All eternity vulgar,
And all that's vulgar, ours.
And I see myself, decayed, alone,
Measuring out each petty hour.
I wonder why at solitude
A future queen should cower.
