Chapter One
Disclaimer: I don't own power rangers, but I do own the idea.
(Angel Grove, Cali, Adam, Rocky, and Kim's apartment, 7:30 a.m.)
Kimberly Hart woke up, holding a picture of Jason Scott, one of her greatest friends, also her ex-boyfriend. She looked at the picture, and thought, One year today. Jason, I miss you so much. I'm so sorry about that letter! I wish I could find you, so I could explain.
She got out of bed, and went into her bathroom, to get ready for the day.
If only she knew that she would see him again soon enough...
(Silver Hills, Cali, Jason's apartment, same day, 7:31 a.m.)
Jason Scott woke up, holding a picture of Kimberly, and a letter. The same letter that Kim had sent to him, breaking up with him. He looked at the picture, and thought, Oh, Kim, I miss you so much. I wish there was a way that I could let you know that I forgive you.
He looked around, and saw a pencil and a piece of paper, and started writing, thinking the words. Dear Firebird, I just wanted to let you know that I forgive you, and I still love you. Knowing you, you're probably wishing you could talk to me, so you could explain why you did it. We'll find a way. Yours forever, Red Dragon.
He reread it, and then said into his old communicator, "Alpha?"
After a few seconds, the robot answered, "Jason?"
"Yeah, it's me. Can you teleport this letter to Kim for me?"
"Sure."
"Thanks."
He watched as the paper disappeared. He sighed, and went into his bathroom.
(Kimberly's room)
Kimberly came out of the bathroom, dressed, and started to put on her socks. The letter appeared on her night stand, and she picked it up. She started to read it aloud. "Dear Firebird, I just wanted to let you know that I forgive you, and I still love you. Knowing you, you're probably wishing you could talk to me, so you could explain why you did it. We'll find a way. Yours forever, Red Dragon."
With tears in her eyes, she grabbed a pencil and a piece of paper from her desk, and started to write. Red Dragon, thank you for the letter. You know me well. I am so sorry for doing that to you. There never was another guy. I just couldn't stand not being near you. I love you, Jase.
She heard her front door crash open, and she quickly wrote: Someone's here! Get to the command center, now! FB.
She said into her communicator, "Alpha, teleport this letter to Jason, right away!"
She quickly put her communicator in her pocket, and as the letter disappeared, two masked figures crashed into her room, making her scream. As she backed up, to the wall, she got into a defensive position, and said, "Who are you, and why are you here?"
The smaller of the two said, "Shut up!"
Knowing by the voice that it was a woman, Kimberly tried to punch her. The woman grabbed her wrist, spun her around, and said as she pushed Kim against the wall with her arm twisted behind her back, "Big mistake, girl."
"What do you want with me?"
The other person, a man, grabbed her hair, and pulled her towards the door. "You'll find out soon enough."
He dragged her out the door, and she thought to the two other triplets, Rocky and Adam: Guys, help me!
(Youth Center)
Rocky, Adam, Aisha, Tommy and Billy were sitting at a table, drinking smoothies, waiting for Kimberly to get there. Tommy said, "I wonder where Kim is. She's never been late before."
Aisha said, "No, that's you, Mr. Always Late and Forgetful."
They laughed, and Rocky and Adam heard Kim in their minds: Guys, help me!
They looked at each other, and Adam said, "Guys, hold on. Kimberly's saying something."
Rocky thought, What's wrong, sis?
Adam thought, Are you ok?
They heard, I'm scared.
Adam thought, What's wrong?
I'm being kidnapped!
Rocky thought, What? By who?
I don't know. I can't see their faces. They broke into our apartment, and grabbed me. I'm in the back of a van, and the woman's back here with me.
Adam thought, What do they want?
They won't tell me. I wrote a letter to Jason, and told him to go to the command center.
Rocky thought, Ok, we'll meet him there.
I'm scared.
Adam thought, It's ok, Kimmie. We'll find you.
Rocky thought, And when we do, we'll make them pay.
Ok. I think the woman dislocated my shoulder, and it hurts.
Adam thought, Just hang in there, little sis. We'll get you out of there.
Ok. I love you, guys.
Rocky thought,We love you, too.
The two brothers stood up, and Billy said, "What's going on, guys?"
Rocky said, "Kim's been kidnapped. We gotta get to the command center."
The other three stood up, and they ran out. Once they made sure no one else was around, they teleported to the command center.
(Command Center)
Jason appeared, right in front of Alpha. The little robot cried out, "Ai ai ai!"
As Jason looked around, he said, "Sorry, Alpha. What happened here?"
"A cleaning day."
Zordon appeared inside of his tube, smiling, and said, "Hello, Jason."
the former red ranger said, "It's good to see you, Zordon, but we've got a problem. Kim's been kidnapped."
Zordon answered, "YES, JASON, I AM AWARE OF THE SITUATION."
With a flash, the others appeared, and Tommy said, "Jason?"
"Yeah, Kim contacted me, but we can chat later. Right now, we've gotta get Kim back."
The other rangers nodded, and Adam asked, "Zordon, have you gotten a lock on her, yet?"
"I'M AFRAID NOT, ADAM. OUR FREQUENCIES ARE BEING BLOCKED."
Billy said as he stepped up to the control panel, "I'll take a look, Zordon."
"THANK YOU, BLUE RANGER."
Kim was strapped down to a table, and the two figures pulled their masks off. Kim gasped at the woman, saying, "Kat! Why are you doing this?"
Kat answered, "You stole everything from me…the power, and you wouldn't let me near Adam, even after you took the power back!"
Kim yelled as she struggled, "You hurt him, and then you wouldn't leave him alone! You followed him everywhere!"
Kat yelled back, "I didn't mean to hurt him!"
As the man pulled out a syringe filled with a black liquid, and stuck a needle on it, Kim said, "Bull crap! We all watched you do it! You deliberately put him in danger!"
Kat didn't answer her, as she grabbed the syringe, and stuck the needle in Kim's arm. Kim winced, and said as she started to get dizzy and light-headed, "What did you just put in me?"
However, she couldn't hear her answer, because she passed out. Kat smiled, and said as she turned to the man, "Now, let's go get Rocky and Jason. If we have both of his siblings, and one of his best friends, Adam will surely surrender to me."
The man nodded, and they walked out.
Jason was in the Zord-Bay, looking up at Kim's zord, when he heard, "Jason, let's go take a walk."
He turned around, and said when he saw Rocky standing behind him, "What for?"
"We need to talk. Adam's gonna meet up with us later."
Jason nodded, and they teleported to the park. Jason said as they started to walk down the sidewalk, "So, what's up?"
"Jase, how do you feel about my sister?"
"Rocky, you know how I feel about her."
"I wanna hear you say it, though."
"I love her."
"Does she know that?"
"Yeah, right before she was kidnapped, I sent her a letter, telling her that I forgave her, and I still love her."
"Did she say anything back?"
"She sent a letter back, saying that she still loved me, too, and that there never was another guy, that she just couldn't stand being away from me."
Rocky stopped, and said, "That's why she did it? I thought she knew that you weren't that far away."
Kat and the man, now back in masks, ran up behind them, and grabbed them, putting their hands over their mouthes. As the two red-clad young men struggled, they were dragged to a black van, and thrown into the back. As the man and Kat shut the doors, and jumped in, Rocky asked, "What's happening? Who are you?"
Kat took out two syringes, and stuck the needles into their arms as she took off her mask. Jason said as the two winced, "Kat."
Rocky asked, "Kat, what're you doing?"
Before she could answer, though, they lost consciousness.
Adam sighed, and put his face in his hands. Aisha walked over to him, placed her hand on his arm, and said as he looked at her, "We'll find her, Ads."
Zordon said, "RANGERS, IT APPEARS THAT WE HAVE ANOTHER PROBLEM. IT SEEMS THAT THE PEOPLE WHO KIDNAPPED KIMBERLY HAVE JUST TAKEN ROCKY AND JASON."
Adam's heart stopped, and he said as his knees started to buckle, "What?"
Aisha said, "Adam, lean against the control panel, before you fall."
As he did so, Tommy said, "Zordon, what happened?"
"THEY WENT TO THE PARK, AND WERE GRABBED."
Billy said as he continued to work, "Don't worry, Adam, we'll get them back."
