It was 12:00 in the afternoon. She decided to pick me up at my house, to go to the service. It was Olivia's husbands' funeral service. Although we had both had our share of differences with Olivia, she was still family to me, and I wouldn't have felt right now going to pay my respects. But Victoria was very loving and understanding.
She was the greatest friend a girl could have. She'll be here any minute. I was dressed in a tight fitting black lace dress. With Victoria's favorite peep toe black pumps. I had a little mesh veil in the corner of my face, pinned in my hair. I wore a ruby dark red lipstick, with my pancake-y make up.
Make up was one of my favorite things to do. Besides signing. *HONK* I could recognize Victoria's old Cadillac horn anywhere. Unfortunately it had just rained that morning. It was very muddy. She pulled up nice and close to my front door. "Hey, where is it again?" she muttered while putting on her bubble gum pink shade of lipstick in the car mirror.
"It's on 35 and grand, just take the highway for 30 minutes south, we'll find it from then on." I said staring at her lips. "Wow that's a pretty bright shade." "Thanks" she winked. "Alright, you've got everything you need?" she said, as she threw her lipstick down in her purse and started the car. "Yepp, I'm all good to go."
