The tall grass swayed with the wind, softly from side to side each time the gentle wind blew. In the middle of the field was a boy, no older then 10. He wore a cap and had a Pikachu on his shoulder, he was just standing there, looking down the brim of his hat at the tall grass, how he could see anything I didn't know as the brim was covering his face.
I sat down at the edge of the tall grass and took out my sketch-pad and pencil.
As I started to draw the boy and his Pikachu there was a rustling in the tall grass beside him. Suddenly the Pikachu jumped off the boys shoulder and landed by his feet, looking around for the source of the noise, the Pikachu finding the source focused on it and pointed it out to the boy by saying "Pika Pika".Out of no-ware, after staring at the source of the noise for some time the boy thunders "Pikachu Quick Attack" and the Pikachu charged at a now visible lump in the tall grass, it was a Caterpie.
Any trainer from Kanto would know a Caterpie when they see one.
Suddenly the boy sprung into action, he turned his hat around so that the brim was facing me, he grabbed a Pokeball from his belt and threw it at the Pokemon yelling "Caterpie you're mine!" . The Pokeball hit the Caterpie on the head, bounced up into the air and swung open. Red light appeared from the Pokeball and engulfed the tiny Pokemon, the light withdrew into the Pokeball and the Caterpie was gone.
The Pokeball snapped shut and fell to the ground ware it then started to beep and rock side to side,
the boy stood watching triumphantly, his Pikachu back on his shoulder as they waited for the beep of a successful capture.
the Pokeball rocked from side to side and the tension grew, I always dreamed of catching my own Pokemon and now I was witnessing one being caught , I steered at the Pokeball as it rocked back and forth, suddenly it beeped and the boy picked it up. He held the Pokeball high in the air and yelled at the top of his lungs "I JUST CAUGHT ... A CATERPIE"
