A/N: Hey y'all, I deleted the original "Fully Alive" story I had because I didn't like it...this is the rewrite, and I like it a lot more! I do not own anything from OUaT. Hope y'all enjoy!
I have been sitting in my office all morning, trying to think of a way to tell Emma that I want to take her on a date, a real date. I have had feelings for her for some time now, at first I thought that maybe my attraction for her was because she happens to be the mother of my son. I know now that her being his mother has nothing to do with my attraction, she is such a strong woman, a beautiful soul, someone that I could spend my life with. She has never treated me like the Evil Queen; she has never told me that I don't deserve my happy ending because of my past. That's what I need in my life, in a life partner, someone that doesn't judge me on my past, someone that helps me build my future.
"Miss Swan, I need you to come to my office." I had called to woman who was on my mind so much. "You also need to pick up two orders of Orange Chicken, fried rice, wanton soup, and egg rolls, make sure there is two of everything. And don't forget the Sweet and Sour sauce." Emma seemed confused, but, she agreed to bring the food to my office. I hung up the phone, anxiously waiting for her to show up.
I have been sitting here, staring at the same paper for what seemed like hours, when Emma walked in with two bags of food. "Damn, Regina, I don't know why you need so much food, but here you go." She sat down the food, turned around and started for the door. I was about to say something when she turned back toward me, "That really is a lot of food, do you have a hot date or are you pregnant?"
Emma looked concerned when I just sat there, my jaw almost on the floor, kind of hurt at what she said. Emma knows that I can't have any kids of my own. "Oh, god. Regina, I am so sor-", I raised my hand to stop her.
"Miss Swan, if you'd like to be a man for a day, just say the word. Now, sit and eat with me, there is something I wish to talk to you about." I started pulling out the to-go containers; I looked down into the empty bags. "Of course you forgot the Sweet and Sour sauce." She looked down at the floor as she sat across from me.
"What do you need to talk to me about?" She grabbed the Orange Chicken I passed her. "Is everything alright with Henry?"
"Henry is well; I don't ask you here to talk about him." I took a deep breath, trying to get back my nerve. "I wanted to talk about you and I." I took another breath. "Miss Swan, I have feelings for you, strong feeling for you. I would like to take you out on a date." Emma went to say something; I raised my hand to stop her, for a second time today. "You don't need to say anything, please just take a day to think about it. I will be at Granny's tomorrow for dinner, if you would like to give this," I pointed at me then her. "Meet me there, please. If you don't show then I know you have no interest in me."
"Okay." Emma gathered her food and walked out the door, I was nervous. I don't really know how I feel about leaving this up to chance, but I have a good feeling about it.
