Another request from tate310, this time it's "It's Only Snow" from Season 6 . Enjoy and comment.

It was wintertime on the Island of Sodor. It was very cold, but the engines didn't mind. They loved this time of year when the stations looked jolly in their holiday decorations. There was plenty of work too, with passengers and parcels to be delivered.

Edward chuffed into Knapford Station with news to tell the other engines.

"Driver says there's going to be more snow on the way!" he announced.

James groaned. He knew what that meant.
"We're going to soon be needing our snow plows!" he said.

Henry knew that Thomas didn't like his snow plow.

"You'll enjoy that, won't you Thomas?" he asked his friend.

"You know I won't." said Thomas. "I don't like my snowplow.

That night, the wind blew and snow fell heavily all across Sodor.

The next morning, Sir Topham Hatt arrived. He told the engines that snowplows would be fitted on them.

"Thomas, you are to collect a special from Callan Station. It's for the Village Feast on Toby' branch line.

Thomas was excited about his special, but not about his snowplow.

"Please sir, my snowplow is uncomfortable, can I not wear it?"

"You will wear it, just like everyone else." said Sir Topham Hatt.

The fitters, his driver and fireman, all helped attach Thomas' snowplow.

"Big awkward horrid thing!" Thomas grumbled.

Thomas felt much happier when he arrived at Callan Station and saw his special that was beside Edward. It was a large and beautiful Christmas tree!

"The tree will have lights that stand in the middle of the village." explained Edward. "Make sure you get it to Toby safely."

"I will!" said Thomas.

Thomas soon arrived at Maithwaite Station. Toby was very pleased to see him and the Christmas tree.

"The villagers will be delighted to see the tree!" said Toby. "And I'm glad to see that you have your snowplow. I can't clear the snowdrifts by myself!"

Then there was trouble. Underneath the snow, lied a huge rock. Thomas' snowplow hit the rock and broke the snowplow right off!
"Bust my buffers!" exclaimed Thomas, "my plow is broken!"

Worse was to follow. A water tower lied up ahead. The driver applied the brakes, but it was too late! Thomas slid right into the water tower and brought it down! Water was everywhere!
"Cinders and ashes!" exclaimed Thomas.

Sir Topham Hatt was cross when he arrived.

"What happened?" asked Sir Topham Hatt.
"My snowplow fell off and I hit the water tower. I'm sorry sir."

"You are very lucky that nobody got hurt. I'm attaching another snowplow on your front. Don't let it fall off."

"Yes sir." said Thomas.

Thomas hated his new snowplow, but he was determined to bring the Christmas tree to the villagers.

He pushed and pushed and pushed as hard as he could, but there was more snowdrifts than ever. Thomas was worried, but confident.

At last, they reached the station. Thomas whistled and the villagers clapped and cheered when they saw their beautiful tree!"

"Hooray for Thomas!" cheered the villagers.

That night, Sir Topham Hatt came to see Thomas. He was worried that Sir Topham Hatt would be cross about his broken snowplow.

But he wasn't! He was very pleased.

"The villagers had a wonderful feast." he said. "You were brave enough to plow all that snow away."

"Thank you sir!" said Thomas.

"But you know that this is your last snowplow. There are no more spares, so to prevent another accident from happening, I'm taking your snowplow away."

Thomas was happier than ever.
