These questions had been always on her mind:"How long does she have to wait?", "How much more is she willing to give?", "Will this love survive?" and there he is Jellal, the object of all those questions, standing in front of her still in arm's length.

Erza having taken up an S-class mission while Jellal, together with Crime Sorciere, once again sought a dark guild and by through sheer coincidence they managed to meet once again.

The atmosphere, the situation, even the sunset it's like déjà vu all over again. The unforgettable events that occurred that fateful day seem to be happening once again.

"It's been quite a while. How have you been?" She was the first to break the silence.

"Fine…still managing" he replied with a faint smile

There was silence once again. It had always been like this. She can't convey to him what she really feels while she keeps wondering of what he is feeling in the current situation.

Jellal always tells himself to never fall in love with someone who walks in the light. It was Crime Sorciere's code but every time he sees her, just a gaze into her eyes and he feels his resolve crumbling. Now, here they are again in a conversation as if nothing happened between them, trying to suppress what they feel for each other to themselves but they can't fool themselves forever.

As silence remained Jellal wanted to tell Erza to go find someone else, someone who is worthy of her, someone…anyone who's not him. But he's selfish…he can't tell her that and he knows Erza's not the type to give up but he's also not the type to go back on his word and he already decided to do this as penance for his sins, so here they are…drowning in a river of their emotions, unable to breath, constricted of their pasts…how much one has hurt the other yet they can't afford to let go of each other as well.

Erza stood up and muttered her goodbyes and there he was still stuck in his train of thoughts. Then he thought of the times he had hurt Erza but she never left. And then he finally realized that by punishing himself he is hurting Erza again, unable to give her the happiness that only he can give.

By instinct he found himself grasping Erza's arm asking her to stay. When she turned around he found himself at loss for words. In a blink of an eye Erza felt lips pressed against hers. The kiss was sweet and chaste yet filled with longing at the same time. And as the kiss deepened Jellal finally felt free. Free of his darkness, free of his past, free of his punishment and as Erza held Jellal tight all of her anxieties and doubts had gone. All her questions answered…

"How long does she have to wait?"

She doesn't have to anymore

"How much is she willing to give?"

Everything if she has too

"Will this love survive?"

It already has

With this Erza felt this day was better than the last time. And all the wait was definitely worth it
