Fred stood by the hundred year old Oak tree, a grand age very few people could reach. He stood by the headstone of just one who did not.
He wiped a stray tear from his eye, having never been hit harder from loss, his mother died a few years ago, when he was too young to fully understand, then Tadashi died, but he couldn't compare to the man who raised Fred.
Honey Lemon came up to him, holding her black parasol and shielding him from the oncoming storm of rain beating down on him seconds before. She said nothing, just stood there to support him and let him cry on her shoulder.
Hiro came next, he and Baymax gave him as warm a hug as they could, as it was a recommendation that "contact with loved ones helps alleviate the pain of loss".
Hiro gave him words of comfort, knowing the same pain of losing his parents and brother. Fred appreciated it greatly, though he didn't say as much. he mustered up the biggest smile he could, but even then it didn't quite reach his eyes.
Wasabi made sure he ate that morning. He was unsurprisingly a great cook, and even on such a mournful day, Fred had to admit that his spirits lifted ever so slightly, even if they were still quite a murky grey if you had to describe it in a single colour. Wasabi stood behind him, hand on his shoulder and acting as his pillar of strength.
GoGo usually kept her distance from grieving people. The only other person she stayed close by in their grieving period was Hiro, she stood by him for Tadashi. GoGo gave a speech during the funeral, much to everyone's surprise. Nevertheless, there wasn't a dry eye in the cemetary, and for once in her life, she didn't care if others saw her eyes even water.
Messages were scattered all around a bouquet of flowers to be buried with the coffin.

Later that evening, when the sky burned orange and gold, the Big Hero 6 could see a burst of red and gold shoot across the sky to pay his respects.
