Trouble, My Personal Stalker: Chapter 1
'"Walk home" I said "It'll be fine" "What could possibly go wrong?" Great plan Liz, great plan. Oh shit! They're getting closer!'
Earlier that day:
"How's it going up there Liz?", a woman with light blond, short hair shouted up to her friend.
"Great! I'm almost done with the leaves and then it'll be finished!... Annnnnnnd done!"
"Wow, it looks great! You've outdone yourself."
Elizabeth Anne Anderson (Liz), climbed down a ladder and away from the mural of a garden she has just finished painting with huge grin on her face. Paint is in her mid-back length, caramel curls and, well, everywhere else. She never really could keep herself clean while painting. Wiping her brow she unintentionally smears some sky blue paint on her forehead that manages brings out her lovely blue eyes.
"It's no problem Mary. I had lot's of fun with this mural. I sure hope the little one in there appreciates it." Liz says while pointing to her friend's growing stomach.
"I do too because it's amazing! So how much do I owe you?"
"Come on Mary. You know I would never charge one of my best friends for my work. You even paid for all the materials, I just put everything together. Why don't you just think of it as a present for the baby?"
Mary is pretty used to this after being friends with Liz for the past three years. They met the first day of the Figure Drawing class they were both taking in college. Mary needed it for her Nursing degree and Liz for her Art. It was Liz's first year and Mary's third. They hit it off right away and have been close ever since.
Mary sighs and says, "Fine Liz. At least let me take you out to dinner as thanks."
Liz laughs, "Of course. Just let me get cleaned up first." Looking down at herself Liz frowns. 'Every time... At least I remembered to wear something old.' Referring to the fact that her state of appearance is rather... unkempt?
Laughing at her friend's face Mary replies, "Of course. So what are you in the mood for. Oh wait, let me guess. ITALIAN!"
"You are correct sir!"
They both laugh as Liz heads towards the bathroom.
"'Man, I'm sooo full!"
"You didn't have to eat all of it you goober!", Mary laughs.
"I know but I just couldn't help myself, they make the best tortellini this side of the Hudson!" Liz exclaims while rubbing her very full tummy. "Burrrrrppp".
"Liz!", Mary shouts partially in offense and partially in humor.
"Sorry, sorry. That one just kind of slipped out.", she shrugged.
Mary couldn't help but roll her eyes at her friend's antics. 'How am I ever going to get her married off?'
Just after having that thought Mary's husband Josh pulls up in his car.
"Hey there you fine ladies. Need a lift?", he says while wiggling his eyebrows.
Both women laugh while shaking their heads.
"Thanks for the kind offer Joshy-boy, but I think I'm going to walk."
Mary turns her head to her friend. "Are you sure Liz? It's pretty late and you know it's not safe to walk around New York by yourself at night.", she says worriedly. Mary knows her friend and trouble are very close. It's almost like trouble is Liz's personal stalker.
"Don't worry so much. It's a beautiful night and I really want to take some pictures for my inspiration note book." Noticing the unconvinced looks her two friends were giving her she added, "I only live a few blocks away. No biggy."
Mary and Josh are still doubtful. They can't really help it.
"Seriously guys, I've walked home alone before. I am a big girl.", she pouted.
"If you're absolutely sure...", Mary sighed. "Call me the second you get home okay? Just to let me know you're safe."
"Sure, sure! Don't worry Mar, I'll be fine.", Liz smiles victoriously.
Saying their good-nights the couple drives home leaving their cocky young friend behind.
'What could possibly go wrong, Mary?' Liz thought pulling out her trusty camera from her seemingly bottomless green bag.
Halfway to her house Liz gets distracted while taking pictures of a stray cat and didn't seem to noticed she had ventured into a dark alley. There was trash strewn about and it reeked something awful.
"Here kitty, kitty. Come to momma. That's a good girl. Wait! Don't go!" There was a yell and the sound of a trashcan being knocked over. Looking over to where the sound seemed to be coming from, Liz finally notices where she's at. 'When did I walk into an alley and what the cheese-monkeys is going on over there?' Walking closer to the sound she sees about twenty Purple Dragons ganging up on a group of teenagers.
"Yous think yous can come onto are turf and not have to pay a fee?", the one with a bald head said while swinging a baseball bat.
Liz slowly backs away from the scene. It's a shame she never noticed the trashcan directly behind her. BOOM CLANG CRASH! Closing her eyes Liz prays in her head, 'Please don't let that be me. Please don't see me. I'm not here.' She opens her eyes and sees everyone looking at her like she's grown another head and it looks el chupacabras mother.
Still in slight shock the bald Dragon yells, "She has a camera! What are yous idiots waiting for?! Go get her!" Have you ever seen a stampede of Purple Dragons? It is one ugly, terrifying scene.
Running as fast as she can all Liz can think is, '"Walk home" I said "It'll be fine", "What could possibly go wrong?" Great plan Liz, great plan. Oh shit! They're getting closer!'
She quickly turns a corner and... BAM! She smacks right into a wall. "Ouch! What hit me?" Blinking up from her new position on the ground she sees the Dragons looming above her. "Hey there girly. You're in for a world of hurt", one said smiling like the mayor of crazy town while swinging his metal pipe.
"Well, well, well. What do we have here?", said a rough voice from above.
"Twenty Purple Dragons against one girl? That's hardly fair." said a softer voice.
"Now it's four turtles against twenty Purple Dragons. Hardly fair for them, but very deserved," said a voice just as soft as the second, but it held more authority.
At this point Liz was scared of her mind. First she had Purple Dragons ready to beat her down, now there are these people on the rooftops? Why didn't she just go home with Mary and Josh? Why did she insist on walking? Wait, hold on a sec. Turtles? What did they mean by turtles? Why are the Purple Dragons looking around kind of scared?
She was brought out of her musing by another voice.
"What are we waiting for bros? Cowabunga!", said the fourth voice. Just then four shadows appeared directly in front of her. "Fear not dudette! Your turtles in shining armor have arrived!", said the giant turtle with an orange mask. As a fight between her four rescuers and the Purple Dragons commenced her eyes widened.
'They are turtles?! Walking, TALKING turtles! Four humanlike turtles are fighting, freaking fighting, with some, admittedly cool, weapons to save me?' As Liz was on the verge of hyperventilating, there was a sharp pain on the back of her head and she was out cold.
Author's Note Thingy: Hullo peoples of the interweb! I've read fanfiction for a number of years and finally built up the courage to publish this story that has been chillin' on my iPad for three years. It was fun to see what past me wrote and I did lol, literally(my friends looked at me like I was crazy, even more so after I told them what I was doing). If you want to review then do so. You don't have to, because I know that sometimes you like a story and have nothing much to say. If the buttholes of the world wish to flame me, then you are free to do so. Just know they will be ignored and you will be added to my least favorite people list.
