Heroes war Part 2: Darkness

I probably shouldn't have done it, but I did. It was a necessary evil and no one could see it. No one could see it because I wouldn't let them. Angela Petrelli's ability would give us the upper hand in this war, and we would win. No more games, I knew my dad, or should I say, Noah was in on it. He had it all planned out like he always does, so I let him do what he needed to because it would work to our advantage. With Peter having his abilities back and blowing up New York it gave us exactly what we needed to start this full on war.

But Noah failed to realize one thing, that we would go back. That we would go back and get their most powerful weapon, Peter. Now that we have him locked up and unconsious there is only one other obstacle in my way, Sylar.

I locked the door to Peter's cell and looked over at his guard. "Don't let him out." I made sure to put one of our telepaths on him to keep his consciousness locked away.

I know Sylar will keep his head low for now since he is being blamed for all of this, his face is all over the news after all. I grinned as everything seemed to be falling into place. My happiness seemed to be cut short by the sound of our alarms.

"Claire to command, we have a perimeter breach. We cannot Identify the intruder." The earpiece in my left ear cut off.

"This is Claire can you read me?" There was no response. "Damn it." I began to make my way towards our command room.

The earpiece buzzed back on. "Hello Claire."

I heard the voice crystal clear. "Sylar."

"How about we play a game, like old times. If you can disarm the bomb I planted in the command center before I reach Peter then I will give myself up."

"And If I don't?"

Sylar chuckled in my ear. "Well then you will have a big mess to clean up." I reached the command center and kicked the door in. Sylar was no where to be found, only a bunch of C4 blocks wired across all of our computer systems. "You have sixty seconds" The timer started on the main screen of the central computer.

I grabbed the microphone and pushed the button for the intercom, "Attention everyone, this is Claire, evacuate the building immidiately, this is not a drill. I repeat, evacuate immidiately." The clock ticked down, there were thirty seconds left and I did not know where to begin to disarm it.

I frantically grabbed a pair of pliers and cut one of the wires, the timer on the clock dropped to 15 seconds. "Uh oh, wrong one claire." Sylar mocked me." I clipped another wire and nothing. "Ten, Nine, Eight..." I cut another and another. "Four, three..." I grew desperate and finally cut all of them making the clock stop. I let out a sigh of relief. "Did you think I would make it that easy? Come on now Claire, you know me better than that." The clock reset to ten seconds.

There were no more wires for me to cut. I dropped the pliers and watched the countdown. "Boom." Sylar said as soon as the timer reached one second. There was a flash and I was thrown back by the explosion knocking me unconsious.
