Ok so I got this idea in my head from I don't know where. It just popped in there. Hope you like it.
Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter or any of the characters. J.K Rowling does. I only own the plot. I also don't own the lullaby. A woman named Prue Whoo does.
"Sing me to sleep with a lullaby..." 5 year old Scorpius begged his father as he looked up into his ice grey eyes.
"Ok ok." Draco Malfoy chuckled, sitting up. He led his only son and child along to his room. He tucked Scorpius into his bed and smiled, looking around. "Why do you want to be Slytherin when you go to Hogwarts, again?" He asked, dumbfounded as to why his son would still want to be in it after everything he had told him.
"Simple. You were in it. I want to be like you." Scorpius smiled, his dimples showing.
Draco felt a stab of sadness as he remembered all that he had done when he was in Hogwarts. "Trust me, you don't..." He whispered. Then he smiled again. "Ok so this lullaby..." He trailed off then sang softly:
"Go to sleep little one
It's time to say goodnight
Lay your head upon the pillow
I will tuck you in so tightSay your prayers and they'll be answeredDream of dreams so bright
Lay your head upon the pillow
It's time to say goodnight
Oh lay your head upon the pillow
It's time to say goodnight"
Draco watched as his son fell asleep then he left the room silently, shutting the door behind him. He sat back down on the sofa and fell asleep...
"GET UP!" Draco jerked awake to find Astoria Greengrass, now Malfoy, standing in front of him. He never could remember why he married her. But she had given him Scorpius and he'd never regret that.
"What?" he mumbled, rubbing his eyes. Smack! Draco blinked as he felt the sting of the slap on his face.
"You know what! You slept with Parkinson!" Astoria shrieked.
"I did no such thing! You're the one who is sleeping with Theodore Nott behind my back! You bitch!" Draco yelled back.
Astoria went to slap him again but he ducked.
"Dad? Mum?" Scorpius stood in the doorway, eyes wide. "Mum why did you just hit dad?" he asked fearfully.
"No reason!" Astoria said, "Go to bed! Now!"
Draco was about to tell Astoria off for speaking to their son like that when he heard it. "No." Scorpius was stood there with his arms folded, looking remarkably like Draco when he was younger, shaking.
"What? WHAT?" Astoria screamed and lunged at the boy.
"No! Not Scor! No!" Draco yelled but it was too late.
Astoria had Scorpius and was hitting him screaming, "How dare you go against me? You will pay! Petrificus Totalus!" She had frozen Draco to the spot while he watched his wife draw blood from his son.
"Mum! NO!" The tortured cry came from Scorpius' lips as Astoria pulled his hair and pulled at his arms. Draco heard a snap then a blood curdling scream. Draco heard crack quite a lot as their neighbours came to see what happened.
Astoria suddenly realised what was happening. She threw Scorpius through the mirror then unfroze Draco before fleeing.
"No... Scor please..." Draco cried as he crawled over to his son, ignoring the pain as the glass cut through his skin.
He picked up Scorpius and held him to his chest, shaking with sobs. Because he knew it was too late, he knew that Scorpius' own mother had beaten him to death.
He vaguely heard Harry Potter ask, "Draco what happened?" But he ignored him.
Draco brushed the blood and glass off Scorpius. "I'm sorry Scorpius, I'm sorry I didn't stop her!" He cried.
Scorpius' eyes were fluttering shut. Draco bent down and heard his son's last words.
"Sing me to sleep with a lullaby..."
Wow, I didn't know I could write something like that! Review please! I might do another one-shot similar to this for a sequel, maybe about how Draco copes. Um but first R &R this one! Thank you,
MJ Xx
