My life was about happiness. Things can change real quickly. For the past decade Aro has made excuses to try to get me to join him along with Alice Edward Jasper and my daughter Renesme. Each time we say no. how I settled in to my new life so quickly and soundly I don't know. I can now hold my shield back until I need it to go back in to place. For the past week it has been closed. Edward has been frustrated that I won't tell him what I have really been thinking of. Renesme now understands and loves Jacob. We all agree that the last attack was enough. If he didn't get what he wants, who knows what he will do next. I walk into the door of our little cottage. Nessie is still with Jacob hunting. "Edward? "I called. "Yes Bella. I am in our bedroom." I walk in to our room "You have had you're shield closed for a while what are you thinking of?" he asks "please don't get mad a t me when I say this but I think we should join with Aro. I haven't told anyone else yet because I wanted to tell you first." I waited for him to tell me I was silly for even thinking of this but instead he said "why would you think that I would be mad? In fact I agree it would be the best thing." I was surprised and I opened my shield so he again could hear what I was thinking. When did he decide this? I thought "a long time ago." he answered my thought "so all that's left now is to tell Alice and Jasper. Then we have to tell the rest of the family Right?" I asked "Right." He replied. When we got to the house Alice was waiting for us on the porch "me and Jasper agree it would be the best way." Some times it's almost easy to forget that she can see the future. Ok now for the rest of the family. "Rose, emmet, Carlisle, esme." I called softly knowing they would hear me. When Jacob and Renesme got back, Edward started "we have all been thinking." Emmet snorted "only you would know that." I rolled my eyes as Edward continued on. "About what Aro is going to do next. Will he continue trying to make excuses or will he threaten our existence to get what he wants. Because we all know what he wants. He wants us. We are the most unique coven he has ever seen, not only in power but in size. Which brings us around to the point we will agree on one condition to join the Volturi." It was silent as everyone took in our decision. Carlisle broke the silence. "I agree. Aro is a man that will get what he wants and will do anything to get it." And Esme nodded. Then Emmet spoke up and said "why do you get to have all the fun?" Rose just said "I think it's the only way." Jacob and renesmay said together "Come visit often." "So everyone agrees it is the best way. We will leave in two days." The next two days passed by in a rush. When it was time to leave we all got in Edwards Volvo. The last one to hug me was Emmet as he gathered me into his big bear hug he said "Don't have too much fun." I laughed "I'll try not to." I said I got in to the back of the car next to Edward as we drove away, I saw a tear running down Renesme's face.
