(A/N: Hey guys! I haven't been dead. In fact, I've been writing a crap ton of fics on my iPod. But alas, most are not finished. I have a bad habbit of making new ones without finishing the first one. ^_^'

Anywho, I was inspired by a fic somewhere. I can't remember what it was called. Have any of you guys played Journey? I was thinking about making a fic of my seventh+ Journey as a White Cloak. Wow. I can't keep my thoughts straight. I'll stop talking. Any grammar mistakes comes from my iPod!

A Simple Sound

Sora ran through another hallway that only held a door and stairs. He didn't think about Donald and Goofy; he had left them behind for Naminé. As he ran on, thinking about her, the familiar sound of a portal sounded to his right. He looked and a female stepped out.

Larxene.

She did not smirk but looked forlorn at him. She took a single step towards him before Sora summoned his Keyblade and readied for a fight. She smiled slightly and chuckled.

"Do you honestly think I came here to fight you?"

"Well, that's what happened last time!" Sora yelled at her. Larxene shook her head.

"Those were orders!" She took on her façade of being cheerful. She smiled then. "No. No, I'd rather not hurt you…because you remind me of someone from my old life." She looked away from Sora before sighing.

In a flash, she ran to Sora and pinned him against the wall with her hands. Kingdom Key clattered against the floor and disappeared back to the Realm of Light. Sora grunted when he made impact and stared down at Larxene since he was pinned much higher than he would've guessed. She smiled sweetly and let her knives pin him more effectively than her hands.

She leaned in close and placed her ear to his heart. For a few minutes she just listened to the sound, reeling in her memories. Even though her life was far too sad, full of murder and prostitution and gangs and drug dealers and countless other things in her poor world, she still craved a heart. Anything to be a Somebody again. Maybe…maybe he was still alive, even after all this time?

Sora stood shell-shocked against the wall as this woman just pressed herself against him. And for minutes she just rested there! He kept breathing but was ready for a fight the instant she would strike. Suddenly he dropped to the floor and she was standing above him with such sad eyes, he thought she had emotions. She smiled slightly.

"Thank you, Keybl—no. Thank you, Sora." Confused, he stood in front of her. She put her hand on his shoulder and forced him to kneel. She sent sparks through his system, dwindling his health. Suddenly, the door busted open and Donald and Goofy came running through. Curaga rang above him, healing his small shocks. Larxene smirked and readied her knives. But Sora saw something in her eyes.

Guess I won't get my own heart, huh?

Sora gasped. Larxene nodded and they began to fight a reluctant battle. And as she screamed while she faded, he couldn't help but think that it was her fault. After all, if she hadn't started the fight, she could've escaped. But he should've saved her. …God! Why was he feeling bad for a Nobody? He had to go save Naminé.

Somewhere, in a dark place, a twenty year old is crying, never to be saved from her punishment.

(A/N: Yep. It's that short. I wrote it like three in the morning so shut up! I'll be posting my Night (Noel x Lightning) fic next.)
