E/O Challenge: Green
Regardless of what Sam thought, Dean actually liked kids. He could relate to them, especially ones that were troubled or scared.
So when the time came to leave Lucas in the belief the threat to him and Andrea was over, Dean couldn't shake the feeling they'd missed something. The kid had just seemed … really not okay.
"Green."
Did Sam say something?
"Huh?"
"Light's green?"
Dean paused. Had to choose right now. Hope-for-the-best resolution or guts-and-instinct action?
Screw it.
Dean turned right and headed back to town. He had to be sure. It was just the right thing to do.
