It was a peaceful day in the town of Pallet in the Kanto region as a figure was making his way to the building with a windmill at the top of the hill. The figure was a boy with black hair, a red hat, blue vest and pants, and on his shoulder was a yellow mouse creature with a lightning bolt tail.
This was none other than Ash Ketchum, a rookie Pokémon trainer and the mouse with him was his trusty partner, Pikachu.
Ash had just returned from competing in the Johto League and when he said goodbye to his good friends Misty and Brock he had stumbled upon a Pokémon egg. Curious on what Pokemon it was, Ash decided to take it to Prof. Oak. He made it up to the top knocked on the door.
"Coming.", A male voice said as the door opened to reveal a teen with black hair, a headband and a green shirt. This was Tracy Sketchit, Prof. Oak's assistant and one of Ash's traveling old companions.
"Hey there Tracy.",Ash says smiling.
"PiPikachu.",Pikachu squeaked out greeting him.
"Hey Ash, Pikachu what's going on?" Tracy asks.
"I wanted to know if Prof. Oak could have a look at this egg I found." Ash said holding it up.
"Wow an egg? Where'd you found it?",The Pokémon watcher asked surprised.
"Well after I had to say goodbye to Misty and Brock, I had a run in with Team Rocket who trapped me in a hole. After we sent them blasting off, we climbed out of the hole and I noticed this egg just laying the bushes all alone. We waited for someone to come looking for it, but nobody came, so I took it with me.",Ash said.
"I see, well it was a good thing you found it before they did. Come on in, the professor right inside.",Tracy led him in the building.
In front of a large computer, an elderly man with white hair and a lab coat was typing when Ash and Tracy walked in.
"Hey Prof. Oak." Tracy said getting his attention.
He turned his chair around to face them. "Yes Tracy? Oh hello Ash, what brings you here?"
"Ash wanted you to take a look at something.",Tracy tells him as Ash pulls out the egg.
"Oh my." Prof. Oak reaches out to examine the egg. "Where did you find this?"
"On the outskirts of Route 1.",Ash said.
"Hmm...",Prof. Oak started studying the eggs surroundings. "Well it seems to be still a healthy egg by the way I'm holding it, but it's feeling a little cold." Walking to another part of his lab Prof. Oak places the egg inside an incubator. "That should keep it warm until it hatches."
"Makes you wonder, what do you think is inside?",Tracy wondered.
"Well since Ash was the one who found it, it only seems right that he should be the one to hold onto it until we find out.",Prof. Oak suggests.
"Thanks Prof. Oak, I promise I'll take good care of it." Ash said putting the egg in his backpack.
"Well now that that's taken care of, I have to ask you Ash, are you planning on continuing your travels?",Oak asks.
Hearing this Ash's face turns into a frown. "I-I'm not sure Prof. Oak. I mean I really thought I had it when I battled Harrison." Ash sighs.
"What's the problem Ash?",Tracy asks seeing his sad face.
"I mean this is the second League I lost in, part of me is wondering if I'm even cut out to be a Pokémon Trainer.",Ash said.
"Pikapi..",Pikachu frowns.
Prof. Oak walks over to Ash and sits down in front of him. "Ash all trainers doubt themselves every now and again, but if you really want to be a Pokémon Master, winning a league is your first step."
"But so far, I lost in the Indigo League and the Silver Conference..Charizard wouldn't listen to me back then, I relied to much on Pikachu and Charizard's power instead of my other Pokémon to battle..I just don't know what to do at this point.",Ash said taking off his hat.
Ash nodded. "Sure, why not.",he said. "Come on Pikachu."
The mouse follows him outside.
Ash walks out to see Bulbasaur, Muk, Kingler, 30 Tauros, Snorlax, Heracross, Noctowl, Bayleef, Cyndaquil, Totodile, and Phanpy. But what really surprised Ash was a Squirtle, Charizard, Pidgeot, and Lapras with the group as well.
"What the? What are you guys doing-"
"Haunter!" A Haunter said appearing in front of Ash making a funny face causing Ash to fall to the ground surprised.
"Haunthaunthaunt!",he laughs with tears coming out of his eyes.
"Haunter but how are you-" Ash suddenly saw a Larvitar hug him tightly before Primeape picked them both up.
"Primeape." Primeape smiles.
"P-Primeape?! Larvitar?! I-I thought you were beck home and I thought you were training with Anthony?",Ash was just super confused. 'What's everyone doing here?'
"Surprised?",Prof. Oak smirks as he and Tracy walked out.
"Wait, you guys did this?" Ash asks surprised.
"We figured you'd still be bummed after your loss in the Johto League, so we tied a few strings to put a smile on your face.",Tracy smiles.
"You guys are the best.",Ash smiles.
"Pikachu!",Pikachu smiles too.
Seeing Ash hanging out with all his Pokémon Tracy and Prof. Oak nod at a job well done.
"I knew making all those calls would pay off.",Prof. Oak said.
"It was abit of trouble, but boy was it worth getting Ash happy again.",Tracy says.
The two made calls to many of the people all around. First was Saffron City's Gym Leader, Sabrina, who called them first surprising them. (*ahem* Psychic ability) She tells them that she wanted to let Haunter visit Ash, because he misses him and after seeing him in the Johto League, she wants to send him to Ash to make him feel better.
Next was Anthony who had just helped coach Primeape towards his Pokemon Fighting Championship. Fulfilling his promise, Anthony agreed to send Primeape back to Ash who had missed him.
Third was when Tracy went towards Viridian Forest and saw many Pidgey, Pidgeotto and Pidgeot flying around, being led by a large Pidgeot. Turns out during the time in Johto, Pidgeot had completely rid the forest of all bad Pokémon and taught the Pidgey and Pidgeotto to take care of themselves, so when the offer came to be with Ash again Pidgeot jumped at the opportunity.
Next came Lapras, she was a difficult case. By contacting Prof. Ivy they managed to track the Lapras migration pattern and through some sneaky sailing she had managed to get close enough to talk to Lapras.
She talked to the youngest one, which was Ash's old Lapras and asks if she knew Ash Ketchum.
Hearing his name Lapras looks at Prof. Ivy who tells her that Ash needs help and could really use her help. After explaining it to her mother she agreed to let Lapras go be with her trainer once again.
Prof. Oak called the Officer Jenny who lead the Squirtle Squad, after seeing Squirtle's battle in the Johto League, he asks her if Squirtle could take a break from the and come back to his old trainer. Since Ash helped the Squirtle Squad win the Fire Fighting tournament the Squirtle Squad had been doing just fine and decided to allow their leader to take a break.
Next was Chairzard. Liza, from Charizific Valley, was watching the Johto League and watched Charizard and Ash fight in every battle. All of the training he did really paid off. So when she saw him finish after the defeat of Harrison's Blaziken, she knew the two would be saddened by this. When Liza got Charizard back, she asks him does he miss battling with Ash fulltime and he said yes. Liza tells him she thinks his training was really paid off in Ash's final Gym battle and the Silver Conference and let him come back to Ash and he was really overjoyed.
Finally there was Larvitar, calling Ranger Mason at Mt. Silver Larvitar had watched Ash's battles with his mother from Ranger Mason's TV and when Prof. Oak called asking if Ash could see Larvitar again Tyranitar agreed to let him go after she gave her son a little bit of training.
And just like that, all of Ash's old Pokémon were reunited...except Butterfree. (cries but continues)
"Come Tracy, let's go get the Pokémon their food." Prof. Oak says walking back in with the Pokémon water following.
As Ash was laughing with all his Pokémon he suddenly felt something touch his nose. "Huh?" Looking up he saw a few snowflakes falling from the sky.
"I-It's snowing?",he asks confused as all his Pokémon look up. "How can that be I thought it's spring?"
"Pika?",Pikachu doesn't understand either when all of a sudden a huge and dark clouds came in blowing strong winds
Ash struggles to stand up as a bright light started to emerge from the clouds. "Quick! Everyone inside!" Ash yells as they all sprinted as fast as they could to the lab. That's when a green hole appeared from the sky.
"Prof Oak!" Ash screams as the light engulfs Ash and all his Pokémon.
Opening the door Prof. Oak and Tracy look to see Ash and his Pokémon were gone.
"Ash? Ash?! Pikachu?!",Tracy exclaims looking around. "Where is everyone?!"
Prof. Oak looks around frantically for any clues. "Something must've happened...round up all the Pokémon and search the area!"
"Yes sir!",Tracy nodded and hurried towards the field.
"Ash, where are you?", Prof. Oak asks worried.
With Ash right now...
He along with all of his Pokémon were falling in some kind of vortex screaming.
When they came out of the other side Ash crashed to the ground in pain.
"What the heck just happened?" Ash groans.
"I have no idea, but I never want to do that again.",Another voice said.
Ash's eyes snapped open and looked around. "W-who said that?"
"Uh I think I landed on my tail." Looking down Ash saw the voice was coming from...Pikachu.
"P-P-Pikachu?",he gulped.
"What?" Pikachu turns to see Ash looking at him with a shocked look.
"Y-You just talked." Ash said.
"No I didn't I *gasps* you can understand me?!", Pikachu's eyes widen.
"Y-yes! I can y-you're speaking Enlgish like me!",Ash said who was completely freaked out.
"What's going on?!" Pikachu said equally freaked out.
Ash was about to say something else until he stopped to look at their surroundings. He saw that they were in some strange looking forest and in the distance was some sort of little village.
"Pikachu, look there's a town that way." Ash points.
"Perfect, lets find a Pokémon Center and get out of here before anymore crazy things happen." Pikachu said when he noticed all of Ash's Pokéballs laying around them.
"Hey Ash, the others!",he says to him
Ash's eyes widen as he opens his backpack to see the egg was still safe. Sighing in relief, Ash and Pikachu gather up all his Pokémon. "I hope we're not too far from home." Ash said putting his backpack on.
Pikachu hopped on his shoulder. "Let's roll."
Making his way to the village he saw that it seemed to resemble a nursery. Looking around curiously Ash heard laughter nearby. Following it he saw a little boy a few years younger than him with blonde hair and a green hat laughing as he played with some weird looking creatures.
Smiling Ash was about to walk over to him when he noticed a large lion like creature glaring down at the little boy.
"Uh what's that?",Ash asks not sure what that is until he saw it pull out a sword and it runs down the cliff slope towards the kid.
"Hey kid lookout!",Pikachu yells causing the little boy to turn towards the lion creature.
"Leomon!",He gasps.
A small orange creature with wings inflates itself. "Air Shot!",he blasted from his mouth a ball of air at Leomon, stopping him for a second. "T.K let's move!",it tells the kid.
Leomon was about to pursue them when Ash threw Pikachu into the air.
"Thunderbolt!",Ash yells.
"Taste this!",Pikachu's rosy cheeks fizzles with electricity and releases a huge electric blast. Leomon roars in pain as the kid and his creature grabbed Ash's hand leading him into the forest.
Hiding behind a tree Ash looked to see Leomon searching for them.
"What kind of Pokémon is that?" Ash asks pointing his Pokédex at it.
"There is no Pokémon to be scanned.",its mechanical voice says surprising Ash.
"No Pokémon? Then what is that thing?",Ash asks confused.
"That's Leomon.",the orange winged ceature said surprising them that it could talk. "He's normally a good Digimon, so if we can somehow free Black Gear from his body, then he'll revert back to normal."
"Digimon?",Ash and Pikachu said confused.
"Hey kid!",Turning around they saw a large ugly green Digimon with horns and a club. This was Ogremon and he was holding a small Digimon in his hand. "I know you're hiding in there! Come out quietly or this little one gets it!"
The kid gulps nervously now seeing they were cornered. "What do we do Patamon?"
'I could destroy the black gear in Leomon so he could fight for us, but if I fail will I be able to protect T.K by myself?" Patamon thought when Pikachu's ears perked.
"Look out!" Pikachu yells as Leomon slashes the tree they were hiding behind.
Luckily they all ducked before he could slash them. "Must kill the Digidestined!",the lion held up his sword.
Ash looked in panic as Leomon aimed his sword at T.K.
"Hang on kid! I hope this works, Larvitar Screech!" Ash said throwing a Pokeball and Larvitar landed in front of Leomon.
Taking a deep breath Larvitar released a loud scream causing both Leomon and Ogremon to hold their ears in pain.
"My ears!",Ogremon cries out as he lets go of the baby Digimon.
"Fox Fire!",While Leomon was distracted blue flames shot out from the forest knocking Leomon backwards.
"T.K!",A voice called out.
The boys turned and saw a giant gray and blue wolf coming towards them, and ontop of its back was a boy with spiky blonde hair.
"Matt!",the kid smiles.
"Friend of yours?" Ash asks.
"He's my brother." He smiles as he climbs off the the giant wolf.
"Are you okay?" He asks.
"Yeah, he saved me Matt." The kid said pointing to Ash.
"Who are you?",Matt asks him.
"We'll talk later, right now we have a fight on our hands." Ash said.
The wolf lept at Leomon who counters his upcoming bite with his muscled arm
"Garurumon was nearby?" Orgemon said distracted while a figure picked up the baby Digimon. He had spiky brown hair and blue goggles.
"Sorry, but your opponenet right now is Greymon!" He said pointing to a large orange dinosaur.
"Mega Flame!",The dinosaur fired from its mouth a huge fireball at Ogremon, who quickly dodged the attack.
"Woah, l-look at the size of that thing!",Pikachu exclaims.
"It's even bigger than Charizard.",Ash gasps.
Larvitar hid behind Ash's legs. "B-but n-not as big as momma right?"
"Don't worry Larvitar, I think they're on our side.",Ash said hopeful.
Pikachu's ears perked again and looked up in the sky and saw something. "Hey Ash, what are those?",he pointed.
Ash and Larvitar looks up in the sky to see multiple black spinning gears coming their way.
"What the?",Ash said even more confused as they entered Leomon's body causing him roar loudly in pain. "Okay that's definitely not good!"
Leomon's body began growing and growing. His yellow mane was now gray and body was light brown. He turns to Garurumon and reals his fist in. "Royal Fist!", he punches and fires energy from his fist in the shape of a lion's head as it collided with Garurumon, sending him into some rocks.
"Garurumon!",Matt gasps as Leomon turns towards Greymon.
"Royal Fist!",Leomon unleashes the same attack sending Greymon smashing into the village.
"Greymon!",the brown hair kid runs after him.
Leomon then turns to the little kid. "The smallest child must die.",he walked towards him.
"T.K run!" Matt yells but T.K was frozen in place.
Patamon flies in front of T.K. "Air Shot!",he inflates himself and expels a shot of air at Leomon, but he didn't budge. "Air Shot!",he tried again and again, but Leomon was too strong, he then reached up and grabbed Patamon.
"Patamon!",T.K exclaimed as Patamon tries to free himself.
"Hey furball!" Ash yells getting everyone including Leomon's attention.
Turning around he saw Ash, Larvitar and Pikachu glaring at him. "Why don't you pick on someone a little closer to your size. Go Charizard!" Ash said throwing a pokéball and Charizard flies in and slams his wings into Leomon causing him to release Patamon.
"What is that?!",Ogremon exclaims seeing the new Pokemon.
"A-A dragon, coming out of a ball?",Matt says shocked.
"Use Flamethrower!" Ash said as Charizard breathed a powerful fire breath attack at Leomon.
Leomon quickly reals his fist in. "Royal Fist!",he fires energy from his fist and it combines with flamethrower.
"Pikachu Quick Attack! Larvitar Hidden Power!" Larvitar fires multiple orbs of light which distract Leomon allowing Pikachu to smash into his chest knocking the big lion backwards.
Larvitar surrounds himself with a white aura and small white orbs circle around him, he then sends them at Leomon, all spheres decked him.
"Wait he has three of them? How is that possible?" The boy with goggles asks.
Ash looks up in the sky and his eyes widen. "Guys retreat!",Ash yells as they ran back to him.
Leomon looks up to see them running away only for a giant cactus with boxing gloves to come crashing down on him.
"Togemon?!",Matt gasps.
"TAI!",a voice came in calling the brown hair boys name. Also coming in from the sky was a huge black bug with four arms and a horn. On its back was a small red haired boy and a brown hair girl with a big cowgirl hat.
"Good thing Misty isn't here to see this.",Pikachu said in awe as the boy with red hair jumps off.
"Quick use the power of the Digivices." He said.
"Digivices?",the now named Tai asks confused. The new boy and girl held out small little blue devices.
"We're talking about these, we found out that they have the power to eliminate the darkness from Digimon.",the boy explains.
"In that case..." Tai made his way towards Leomon who was approaching Ash. "Hey Leomon! You want us right? Come and get me."
"Tai what are you doing?!" Matt asks thinking his friend was crazy.
"Get outta here you're gonna get hurt!",Ash tried to tell him. Leomon stopped going to Ash and turned to Tai.
"The Digidestined, must be killed!",Leomon roars about to attack, until at the last minute Tai pulls out his own device in front on Leomon and it glows brightly.
Leomon screams in pain as the dark gears started leaving his body.
"So that's how they work!" Matt said as he ran towards Tai and held his device out causing all the gears to leave Leomon.
"Not good, those brats are doing it aga-",Ogremon said.
"Hey Ogremon!",he hears and turns to face the big bug.
"Mega Blaster!",It fired an electric ball at Ogremon, catching him off guard for a critical hit.
"Nailed him!",Pikachu grins as the final gears leave Leomon, returning him to normal size and color.
"They did it!" The girl with brown hair smiles.
As all of them gathered together Ogremon shuffled away. "You gotta be kidding. I can't fight all of them." He said before fleeing.
"Well that was something completely different.",Ash says relieved.
"Wow! That was so cool!" Ash turns to see T.K running over to him. "You guys were amazing!"
"Um thanks, though it wasn't nothing really.",Ash says.
"So are you gonna tell me your name this time?",Matt asks walking over.
"My name's Ash Ketchum and this is Pikachu, Larvitar, and Charizard."
"Hey there.",Pikachu waves.
"H-hello.",Larvitar waves shyly behind Ash's leg.
"Yo.",Charizard greeted.
"Hey can anyone tell me what region I'm in? I gotta call home, my mom's probably freaking out." Ash said as all of them looked at him confused.
"What?",Ash asked seeing the faces. "Is something wrong?"
"Ash, my name's Izzy and this is Tai, Matt, T.K, and Mimi. You might want to sit down for what I'm about to say. Believe me it took all of us by surprise too."
A few minutes later...
"WHAAAAAT?!",Ash and his Pokémon exclaimed with their faces filed with shock and horror. "YOU'RE SAYING THAT WE'RE IN SOME STRANGE NEW WORLD WITH NO PEOPLE?!",they all said.
"Pretty much." Izzy said as Ash and his Pokémon were breathing in and out trying to pull themselves together.
"W-we're not in Kanto, n-not Johto. Nowhere here...No mom, no Tracy..No humans anywhere?",Ash saying feeling like he was gonna faint.
"This is a dream, this is all a bad dream. I'm gonna wake up and I'll still be with mommy." Larvitar said rocking back and forth.
Do you think if I shock all you guys, we'd wake up?",Pikachu asks, Charizard backed up.
"I'm not taking that risk!",he said waving his hands.
Ash was breathing heavily for a few minutes before calming down and looking to Izzy and the others.
"How did you get here?" Tai asks.
"I don't know. Alright the sky lit up for a few seconds and the next thing I know I'm here." Ash said.
"That's what happened to us too.",Mimi says.
"I don't suppose any of you have any idea why we're here?" Ash asks.
"I can answer that." Turning they saw Leomon standing up.
Pikachu and Charizard growls seeing him up. "Up for round 2 huh?",Charizard said blazing up his tail.
"Just say the words Ash.",Pikachu's cheeks sparked up.
"Wait hold on!" Patamon said getting in front of them. "Leomon's not evil anymore! He's a good Digimon."
"How can you say that, he tried to kill you guys earlier?",Pikachu asks.
"That was because of the Black Gear.",A small blue wolf creature with a horn said walking over with a yellow lizard, a red ladybug with spikes on its wings and a green creature with a flower on its head.
"Wait what happened those really big guys we saw battling earlier?" Larvitar asks.
"That was us we just digivolved back into our smaller forms." The red bug said.
"Digivolved? Black Gears? Digimon?",Ash held his head. "This is really confusing me."
"I understand this must be a lot to take in, but if you all will follow me I'll explain everything." Leomon said.
All of Ash's Pokémon look to him. "We need answers, but keep your paws off your sword." Ash said looking at Leomon.
Leomon agrees to his words and leads them to where they can talk. They all sat under a tree as he began talking. "A rumor was spread about a while ago; saying that our world will be be consumed with darkness and evil, and a group of Chosen Children from another world called the Digidestined would arrive here and prevent that from happening."
"So that's why you called is the Digidestined.",Tai said.
"But you have no proof we are." Matt said.
"The Digidestined are said to have the power to enable Digimon to Digivolve, that's you." Leomon said.
"What's does Digivolve mean?",Pikachu asks.
"It's what we Digimon use to grow to our stronger forms.",Gabumon said.
"So it's like evolving for us." Charizard nods.
"Difference is, you guys stay in the forms you evolve into.",Ash says.
"But wait, from what Ash said he's not a Digi Destined so why is he here?" Mimi asks.
"There's one more rumor, a human with an army of strange creatures would come and aid the Digi Destined in what they need most." Leomon said.
"So Ash is here to help us?" Izzy asks.
"No...he's here to lead you." Leomon said surprising everyone.
"L-Lead? Me a leader?!",Ash stutters surprised.
"You clearly have lots of battle experience do you not?",Leomon asks.
"Well yeah I do, but that's experience I have in for training Pokémon. I'm no expert I'm still a beginner.",Ash tells him.
"Well you did put up a pretty good fight against Leomon.",Matt said.
"Yeah but I don't know the first thing about leading.",Ash said.
"But Ash, if we save the Digital World we'll end up being unnecessary for this world.", Izzy said.
"What do you mean Izzy?",Mimi asks not following.
"Well what I'm saying is that, once we've saved the Digital World, we'll all might be able to return to our world.",Izzy says and turns to Ash. "Including you with yours."
Instantly Ash and all his Pokémon widen their eyes. "He'll do it!/ I'll do it!"
"You'll really help us out?",Palmon asks.
If it means getting back home yes I will." Ash nods.
"If only it were that easy." Matt said looking to the top of the mountain behind them.
"You must defeat Devimon, who is the source of the evil power.",Leomon said.
Tai then stood up. "Well then, I say let's do it. We can't survive out here if we can't beat someone like him."
Izzy stood up too. "Tai's right, I'm in.",he smiles.
"I'll help too. I'm scared, but I want to go home.",Mimi stood up.
"We'll help too Mimi." Palmon said.
"We've all gotten our energy back.",Tentomon said.
"I'm ready for anything like you are.",Agumon smiles confidently at Tai who also did the same.
"Let's go to Infinity Mountain, Matt." Gabumon said.
"Yeah...we have no other choice." Matt said.
"I will also assist you." Leomon said.
Ash looks to his Pokémon. "Well guys, we've never turned away from a battle before and this is one we can't afford to lose.",Ash said.
All three Pokémon looked at each other, and all three heads nodded at each other. "We're ready when you are.",Charizard says.
Returning all by Pikachu to their Pokéballs Leomon took them all to a boat taking them to Infintity mountain.
As they made their way up the mountain multiple black gears soared towards the top of the mountain.
'Those gears again..',Ash thought remembering earlier with fighting Leomon. As the gears reached the top the sky started to darken and the whole mountain shook.
"Wh-What's that?" Tai asks when a giant devil like Digimon burst out of the mountain.
"D-Devimon?!",Izzy exclaims.
"THAT'S who we have to destroy?!",Pikachu exclaims who was clearly frightened.
"How'd he get so big?",Palmon says.
"Could it be an illusion like the one he made us earlier?" Izzy asks.
"No. He's grown larger using the power of evil.", Leomon said as Devimon jumped off the mountain and landed with his back turned to them.
"Agumon, Digivolve quick!",Tai says, Agumon was about to do something until Devimon heard him turned around, blasting a black beam stunning while making them all scream.
"Fools! You are all destined to die here!",Devimon declares.
"Harpoon Torpedo!" Suddenly from the sky multiple torpedoes smashes into Devimon breaking his hold on everyone. It came from a large white hairy walrus looking Digimon with a horn on its head.
"Meteor Wing!",a large orange bird appeared in the sky. It flaps its wings and rains down fireballs from the air and they all hit Devimon making him cry out.
Everyone quick!" They turn to see a girl with orange hair and a blue hat run towards them. "Digivolve before it's too late!"
Immedianlty all of the kids Digivices glowed and so did the Digimon.
"Agumon Digivolve to...Greymon!"
"Gabumon Digivolve to...Garurumon!"
"Tentomon Digivolve to...Kabuterimon!"
"Palmon Digivolve to...Togemon!"
Ash and Pikachu were simply amazed at the Digimon changing forms into those beasts from earlier.
"Mega Flame!" Greymon said launching a large fireball at Devimon.
"Fox Fire!" Garurumon jumps at Devimon blasting him and biting down on Devimon's arm.
"Did we get him?" Tai asks hopeful.
The answer was no, Devimon had the upper hand against Garurumon and throws him at Greymon, hitting the cliffsides.
"Do you honestly think those little attacks work against me?",Devimon mocked them and Kabuterimon flew up above him.
"Mega Blaster!",he fires an electric sphere at him.
"Needle Spray!",Togemon releases multiple needles from her body.
"It's useless!",Devimon said swatting the two of them away like flies.
Leomon leaps at Devimon with his sword ready, but from out of Devimon's back Ogremon appeared.
"Not so fast Leomon!" Ogremon said surprising him before whacking him on the head with his club. "Not that I've become one with Devimon there's no way I can lose to you!"
"Pummel Whack!",he shoots out a darker version of Royal Fist, and sends Leomon flying into a wall.
Meanwhile, Devimon grabbed Birdramon and threw her into Greymon and Garurumon.
"Resistance is futile! Devimon said making his way towards Ikkakumon.
"Harpoon Torpedo!",He fires multiple torpedoes but Devimon just picks him up like he was a doll and throws him into Kabuterimon.
T.K was couldn't believe it. "H-he's beaten all of them.."
Devimon then turned around to face him. "The youngest Digidestined..once I've dispose of you, I have nothing else to fear of!" He reaches for them with his claw extending. "Death Claw!"
T.K was frozen in fear as Devimon was about to grab him when suddenly a long tongue lashed out and licked Devimon's hand grossing him out.
"What in the-" Devimon looks to see Haunter laughing at him.
"You should've seen the look on your face.",Haunter laughs.
"What is the meaning of this?!",Devimon exclaims.
T.K looks to see Ash, Pikachu and Haunter standing in front of him and Patamon.
"Listen you over sized bully, I don't what your deal is but if you want to get to T.K you're gonna have to get through me first!" Ash declares.
"Ash..." T.K said looking at his determined face.
A boy with blue hair in glasses looked up at him. "Hey who's he?"
"Our leader." Tai grins excited to see Ash in action.
"You think you can defeat me?" Devimon taunts.
"I don't think I can...",Ash says turning his hat around. "I know I can. Haunter, Shadow Ball! Pikachu, use Thunder!"
Haunter created a ball of darkness and Pikachu zapped Devimon with a powerful electric attack causing Devimon to scream in pain surprising everyone.
"How did he do that?" The girl in the blue hat asks as Ash took out three Pokeballs.
"Charizard, Heracross, Bulbasaur I choose you!" Ash said throwing them into the air.
All 3 Pokémon came out.
"He has more?!",Mimi gasped.
"Death Claw!" Devimon swings his arm to knock Ash into the mountain but he and Pikachu jump on Charizard's back as they flew at him.
"Charizard Fire Spin! Heracross Megahorn!" Charizard breathes a tornado of flames which surround Devimon trapping him. Devimon tries to escape but two vines wrap around his arm. Looking down he saw Bulbasaur had used vine whip.
"Hey ugly!" Devimon turns to see Heracross slam his glowing horn into his chest.
"Gyahh!",Devimon wheezed out in pain as the air was knocked out of him.
As Devimon drops to his knees Ash landed back on the mountain.
"Don't hold back, give it everything you got." Ash said as Pikachu used Thunderbolt, Bulbasaur used Razor Leaf, Charizard used Flamethrower and Haunter used Shadow Ball.
All 4 attacks combined at hit Devimon one by one. Everyone was in awe seeing how well coordinated Ash was with them.
Devimon groans in pain as he looked up to see Ash and his Pokemon glaring at him.
"I was going to kill the smallest Digi Destined first, but congratulations kid. You get to die first!" Devimon said firing a black beam at him.
"Ash look out!"
Ash scrambles to get out of the way but the beam smashes into a cliff on the mountain causing multiple rocks to come down towards Ash and his Pokemon.
They run to get out of the way but one large rock comes down and hits Ash causing him to fall to the ground in pain.
"Ash!",his Pokémon cried out to him.
Ash groans in pain as he tries to pick himself up but his leg was trapped between some rocks. As he struggled to get loose Devimon grins as he reached out his hand towards Ash.
"DON'T!",Patamon rushes in and right before Devimon could crush Ash, Patamon got in the way. "Air Shot!",Patamon attacks Devimon's hand over and over again but it does no good.
"Patamon, run! Your attacks aren't working!",Ash tells him.
'Why? Why can't I protect T.K or Ash like the others? Why can't I digivolve?!' Patamon thought as T.K ran towards Ash trying to help him out.
"Come on rock move!" T.K said trying to push Ash free.
"T.K get outta there!" Matt yells. Pikachu, Haunter, Charizard and Heracross all tried to help T.K get the rock out. Grinning at their pathetic struggle Devimon reaches out to grab both Ash and T.K.
"ASH! T.K!" Patamon yells flying in just as Devimon closes his hand.
"T.K!",Matt screamed in horror. Devimon smiles at his victory, or so he thought as suddenly from inside his grip, there was a huge bright light.
As Bulbasaur and Charizard push the rock off Ash's leg they look up in aw at the bright light.
"What is that?" Bulbasaur asks.
"I think it's..Patamon.",Ash said.
"Patamon Digivolve to...Angemon!"
In Patamon's place everyone saw he had turned into an angel like Digimon.
"Patamon Digivolved..." T.K said in awe.
"Damn. I was so close." Devimon growled.
"You will pay for you crimes Devimon.",Angemon declares and lifts his staff. "Come to me powers of the light!"
Suddenly the lights from everyone's Digivices went towards him.
"What are you doing?",Devimon asks as the energy causes all the Digimon to go back to their smaller forms.
"What's he doing?",Pikachu asked confused.
"Stop! If you do that you won't get off so easily!",Devimon warns.
"But there's no other way...even if it means destroying my body.",Angemon said.
This shocked everyone. "D-Destroy his body?",Ash gasped.
"You're dark powers have grown far too much, therefore you must be erased from this world!",Agemon says as his staff glows.
"I don't think so!",Ogremon appeared from Devimon's chest and was about to strike Angemon, but only to hit the glowing staff, making him fall and be released from Devimon's body.
"I'll crush you!",Devimon roars moving both his hands in.
"FIST OF FATE!",Angemon yells delivering a powerful blast of light that went right through Devimon's chest creating a bright flash of light.
Devimon's body began to dissolve, so was Angemon's.
"You fool..what was the point in using everything bit of your energy here on me?",Devimon questions him. "The powers of darkness aren't just spreading here on File Island. There are stronger and more evil Digimon than me across the sea. I may have failed on killing you all, but they won't!",he said laughing before he disappeared from existence.
"Angemon!" T.K calls out.
"Don't worry T.K I'm sure we'll meet again. As long...as you wish for it." Angemon said smiling before disappearing.
T.K's eyes watered up as his Digimon was deceased. He felt a hand on his shoulder and looks up to see Ash. His face read, "It's going to be OK."
Looking to the ground a handful of Angemon's feathers fell to the ground and from them an egg formed.
"It's an egg.",Bulbasaur said.
"Correction, a DigiEgg.",Tentomon said.
"Is it...Angemon's?" T.K asks.
"Angemon is starting over as a DigiEgg.",Gabumon said.
"As long as he Digivolves properly you'll meet him again.",Palmon said as T.K picks up the egg.
"I'll take good care of you." He said hugging it close to him.
Ash smiles at this when he notices the boy with glasses and the girl with orange hair.
"Hey, I'm Ash.",He introduces.
"I'm Sora, and that's Joe.",she pointed out. "And these are our Digimon, Biyomon and Gomamon.",she gestured to a pink bird and a white seel looking Digimon.
Ash was about to open his mouth to say something when suddenly the ground started to shake.
"Now what's happening?" Pikachu asks.
"Guys look!",Sora gets their attention to the seas and saw multiple pieces of land coming in. "The other parts of the island are coming back."
"Since Devimon is gone, the dark power is no longer controlling the island.",Izzy said realizing.
On the main Island Ogremon groaned as he picked himself up. "Did they defeat Devimon?"
"Yes they did." Turning around Ogremon saw Leomon standing behind him. "Do you still want to fight?"
"N-No thank you!" Ogremon said making a run for it.
"Hey didn't Devimon said that there were more evil Digimon across the ocean?",Matt asks.
"We're still not done here, and here I was thinking we were finally going back to our world.",Joe sighed sadly.
"Aw man.",Ash and all his Pokemon groaned.
"But I don't want to fight.",Mimi whined.
"Guys we have to do it. No matter who our enemy is.",Tai said when suddenly the ground under them shook.
"What's that?",Joe asks as a projection appeared out of the ground of an old man in robes.
"Hello there, I take it you all must be the Digidestined?",he asks them.
"W-who's this?",Ash asks.
Just when Ash thought his way back home was set in stone something even stranger occurs forcing our young hero to stay in the Digital World a little longer. What will happen next? You'll have to wait and see.
