A/N: I decided that science ALIAS is sadly reaching it's end. That I should start putting my stories on here. This is not one of my best, I wrote it in about 10 minutes. Also I wrote this before S.O.S/Maternal Instinct. Sorry it's so short. Enjoy

"10 more minutes till 2007" The TV blared, Syd wasn't watching it she had just turned it on while she rocked Isabelle to sleep. In 10 minutes the hell that was 2006 would be over. It was only in these 10 minutes that she let her mind drift back to the way things used to be. Last New Years about this time she had been walking around France with Vaughn and his brother. This new years she was rocking their daughter to asleep alone. It was the time that she was rocking Isabelle to sleep that she loved and hated. Because the quiet let her remember what had been and what could never be again. So many things had happened over the course of the last year most bad but a few things were good. She had lost Vaughn and Nadia to death, Eric to a new job, and her parents to each other. The only person that she really had was Isabelle. Her sweet Isabelle. Even through 2006 had given her her daughter but she was ready for it to be over. Has the TV announced 6 more minutes till Midnight her mind was flooded with the memories of the last year.

Her father, the man would told her he would always be there. Just to leave with her mother a few months later.

Vaughn, Her sweet Vaughn dying. She remembered the look in his eyes. The look that told her she would be making the trip home and raising their child alone. He had finally become her guardian angel.

Her sweet angel with green eyes being born, the only thing that had saved her from the darkness.

"Happy New Year, my sweet angel." She whispered to Isabelle has the ball dropped. She looked out the window, 2007 was already looking better then 2006. She had her little girl and the memories of her guardian angel. 2006 was behind her, 2007 was before her. For the first time in years, her future was looking bright.
