Nine Days

This is the story of a girl,
Who cried a river and drowned the whole world
And while she looked so sad in photographs,
I absolutely love her,
When she smiles

..

Hello,

I am starting this documentary (Not a diary, or journal) so I can document my adventures next year, as I experience the life of a sophomore in high school (which is apparently a very stressful life, according to my friend, Arthur.). I guess I need to tell you about myself, dont I?

Well, for starters, my name is Matthew Williams, I am fourteen, turning fifteen next week, with blond hair and dark blue eyes, though sometimes people tell me they're purple...

I love maple syrup and pancakes, still have an old, beaten up polar/teddy bear named Kumajiro, who's currently in the wash now.. I think Alfred dirtied him up or something.. Probably tried to use him as a football again..

Anyway, I also have a brother, Alfred, who is a year older than me (fifteen), and a soon-to-be sophomore (he failed kindergarten, and I got stuck with him.) We get mistaken for twins often, because he looks a lot like me, or I look a lot like him. (Well, with the exception that my hair has a darker tint and his is more gold, and my eyes are darker blue, more like the ocean, while his are like the sky.)

I am into art, reading, writing, listening/making music, as well as dancing and hockey. (Though dancing is something that no one would expect from me, me being clumsy and all..!)

I live in Texas, with my brother, and adopted parents.

..Maybe I should explain that adopted part to you before I continue.

It starts like this...

A girl, of about nineteen, set out to the world with her boyfriend. They had a baby together, named Alfred, and were content for a while, until she became pregnant again. Her boyfriend, (fiancée then,) ditched her after finding out, leaving her to take care of us. She managed to do that for a while.. Until she became deathly ill, and unable to care for her two kids.

While she was ill, the kids had been passed around from family member to family member, until eventually their mother died and no one in the family wanted them anymore. the babies, barely in their threes at this point, were put into an adoption house, and were adopted by a Mr. and Mrs. Kelly. They have been there, with this couple, ever since.

I'm done for today, I guess. I have to help Al make dinner. (He most likely already burnt his hand trying to operate the old, broken grill.. Again.)

Though I most likely won't remember to write tomorrow, (Or the day after that..) I have to go now, so I bye!

-Matthew
