This is just a short one-shot of my first date with my boyfriend jasper. We spent a Saturday together at the school carnival and then went to dinner a movie and bowling. It was awesome. Hope you all like it.
Alice POV
"What animal do you want?" Jasper asked pulling me to the carnival booth filled with stuffed animals.
"Really? The 'big-stuffed-animal-carnival-bring-home-and-show-all-my-friends-so-they-think-your-so-romantic' gig?"
He stared at me blankly. "Um... actually I asked your brother what you really want. And he answered: stuffed animal."
I looked at him and then at my feet. "Oh. I knew that."
Jasper smiled and lifted my chin with his hand. "And you always told me how you wanted someone to do something very romantic to you. And one of the most romantic things I've seen the movies do is make the guy get the girl a stuffed animal."
I giggled.
"So, which animal do you want?"
"I want the big panda." I told Jasper, pointing at the huge panda bear that hung from the booth.
He looked at me then at the panda then back at me.
"Okay, Alice I'll try but I suck at basketball."
I humphedand pointed at the panda. "When I was six, I asked Santa for a panda bear. Do you know what I got? A unicorn. I got a freaking UNICORN. Suppose I had gotten a bear? Yeah, that'd be fine, but oh no," I babbled. "I got a unicorn."
Jasper laughed at my explanation and threw the basketball. It missed.
"Damn." He muttered and grabbed another ball.
He tried to throw it again and failed.
"Your postures wrong."
"What?"
"Your posture," I explained picking up a basket ball and throwing it in. It went in. "Sucks."
"How did you... How did you do that?"
"I grew up with an older brother." I told him picking up another basketball.
"Okay. But your older brother likes music not sports."
"He used to love basketball. I learned from the best." I shot again. It made a whoosh as it went in.
I grabbed another and shot it. It went in and the guy running the booth gave me the panda, obviously hearing out earlier conversation.
"Don't worry, Jasper. You can win bowling as long as we don't use the bumpers."
I patted his head and happily skipped away leaving him speechless.
