"Lee!" a young girl cried running as fast as her frail legs would carry her.
The black haired male whipped around at the calling of his name. He only had seconds before a blue and black blur collided with his green clad self. The force knocked the wind out of him as he landed flat against the ground. Dazed slightly, he shook it off before realizing just who knocked him to the ground and lay clutching him for dear life.
"Ai, what's wrong?" Lee questioned, concern reflecting from his onyx orbs.
"He's trying to kill me," the girl wailed clinging to him in complete terror.
"AI!" bellowed the blonde as he ran down the path.
At that voice Ai yelped, jumped upright pulling Lee up with her (for she never let go of the male) and ducked behind him using him as a shield. Lee stood there confused from a moment before the blonde came into full view then he understood the situation somewhat.
"Naruto, what's wrong?" he asked the pissed off blonde.
Naruto jabbed a finger at the girl who attempted to peek through Lee's bent arm at the blonde, "She stole my ramen!"
Ai jumped at the tone Naruto threw at her and she cowered behind Lee more.
"Now, come on Naruto, it's just ramen," Lee stated taking a more protective stance blocking anyway Naruto might take to get to Ai.
"It's not just ramen!" Naruto yelled, completely dumbfounded at his friend.
"Naruto," Lee stated in a warning tone.
"Fine, I'll let it go," Naruto sighed walking away to sulk about his ramen.
"Ai," Lee firmly stated as he whipped around to face said girl, "Why do you always do this?"
Ai looked down at her feet ashamed. Lee sighed, he could never stay mad at her no matter what she did.
"I'm sorry I yelled, it's just that I care about you," he stated lifting her chin up with his index finger.
"I know," she breathed, bringing her head closer to his lips.
"I love you," he stated before capturing her lips in a passionate kiss.
"I never have to worry because you'll always be there to protect me, Lee, I love you."
