Pain
Characters: Cloud, Sephiroth
The pain was unbearable. It scorched through my insides, ripping me apart, and I could see the darkness slowly smother my blurry vision. I felt his hot breath on my skin, yet it seemed only resting upon the boundary of the excruciating pain. Somewhere on the brink of reality, I could hear his cynical chuckle resonate through the air. Was this really alright? Letting him do this to me, it was as though I was conceding my right to be human. This dance seemed to bear no beginning and no end. No gentle touches. No, everything had to bear the undertone of pain. It was not a sadistic desire. No, it was to make this seem real; like it was not only a part of our desperate imaginations. My fingernails dug into his skin, bloody streaks forming the wings of a fallen angel.
I was forever chained to him. Forever caught in his cage of lust and desire and agonizing physical torment. The sudden burst of pleasure burned more than the pain. I cried out. In return, he clamped his teeth onto my flesh, some part of my body I wasn't aware of, and drew blood. This only brought the pleasure to heightened levels; as though this pain caused the reality of the pleasure to become amplified in its magnitude. In some distant part of my foggy mind, my sobs broke through, the tears escaping my glazed blue eyes. I couldn't see him. Everything that was purely him broke through the inability to capture his beauty, yet somehow augmenting this destructive suggestion of allure. The silver hair gliding across my skin, his muscles contracting beneath my own hands; everything was brought into stark quality by the darkened vision.
He was pressing my convulsing body down; the nails of his elegant hands bore half crescent moons into my heated flesh. Another abrupt burst of pleasure and fire sent my nerves ablaze; the end was near. I couldn't hear, I couldn't see, I could only feel the depths of my being coil and break. My white essence veiled all that was in sight, yet there was no sight to glance through. Heat coated my insides and the ringing in my ears was accompanied by a soft, satisfied sigh. I could feel the emptiness consume me as he left my body. He rested carefully upon my being before falling to the side. I despairingly clung to him. I vehemently hoped he wouldn't leave me to my own emptiness. But what was the point in hoping, since nothing in this world deserved any semblance of hope?
He stayed with me. For how long, I do not know. But at that one moment in the night, he grazed his lips upon mine, with that light shock of warmth; it was suddenly even more real without the torment of agony. Reality filtered through without the incinerating pain in that one silent moment.
