Shut, cramped, in my cage of steel,

Author's note: Please don't tell me that you cannot understand the last verse because that's all about symbolism. If you can read through it, which most people could, that's great. If not, don't accuse me of writing nonsense. That's all, enjoy!

Crown of Gold

Shut, cramped, in my cage of steel,

Gazing at them with glares of hate,

Cursing them, the lives they steal,

Refusing to acknowledge my hardened fate.

They came from above, from paradise's light,

Bellowing in unison, an animal cry.

Down into hell, prepared to fight.

My heart soared, as I watched them try.

The tiger, for a moment, he turned to me,

And in that split second, our eyes met.

What my instincts felt couldn't possibly be,

Going against everything the memories collect.

But I realized, somewhere deep down,

The warrior once listened to the stories I told.

My brother, who wore a crown,

The symbol of bravery, a crown of gold.
