Ruka nodded. She kissed the top of his head. " I know you wouldn't do anything to ever hurt me, Kain. This was just an accident. " She said, wrapping the bandage around her burnt arm again. He felt like killing himself. How could he have burnt the thing he loves the most in this entire world? Even though it was an accident. Damn Touya and Shiki. There were the ones who kept telling him his powers weren't anything to theirs and made him . . .
Ruka had walked in on the wrong time, but even so, Kain couldn't stop the fire instantly. The damage was done, to her arm and Kain's conscience.
Ruka sighed and bent down beside him. " Next time, just don't let the others get to you like that. " She said, pushing his hair back. " Just remember, . . . . that . . .
I believe in you, Kain-sama. " She kissed his forehead, murmered a goodnight, and slipped out the door like the angel Kain saw in her.
" I believe in you, too, Ruka. " Kain said, laying down and listening to the rain outside.
