Here's a drabble for BellaPur's Foreign challenge on The Dark Lord's Most Faithful forum.
I like Romania very much. In this country I feel like home,and I love to study dragons. At first,it was quite hard to learn romanian,but now I speak fluently.
Romania is usually heavily criticized for its flourishing corruption,but I want to tell you that not everyone in Romania is corrupt or that it is impossible to live in Romania without paying bribes. I will never forget when my family visited me in Romania.
''Charlie,I am so happy to see you'' ,said my mother,''I must tell you that I don't like how you look! You look so pale...''
''Mother,it's nothing'',I said ,'' I am very healthy''.
'' I don't like this country'',said my mother with anger,'' It's full of dirt and mud,and somebody tried to steal my money!''
'' Romania is in the middle of nowhere'', said Ron,'' I don't understand why do you like to stay in this place.''
''Ron,I like this country'',I said,'' Although Romania is not like Great Britain ,in this place I feel great. I love to study dragons and I have many wonderful friends in this country. Not all the people are bad! I am not very ordered,so I don't mind if the streets are full of dirt.''
'' I wonder which is the capital of Romania", said Ginny,'' I think it's Budapest''.
''No,Bucharest is the capital of Romania'' I said exasperated.
After that,I saw a man staring at my large family.
''Foloseste un prezervativ data viitoare'' said the man to my mother.
''What did he say ?'' asked my mother.
'' He said that you have a nice family'' I lied.
'' Well, I am sure he is a nice gentleman'',said my mother,'' I starting to believe that romanians are polite and misunderstood''.
''You are right,mother'' I said with a large smile.
