"Go on then." The Doctor encouraged.

So I bound up to the doors and yanked them open, and was about to step out into thin air, but, thankfully, I stopped myself.

"What the hell, Doctor!" I yelped, clearly startled. He came up behind me, and stood a little close. "What happened to relaxing vacation?!"

"I don't know." he frowned, clearly mystified. "Apparently the TARDIS wants to kill you. Well move over, then."

I gratefully backed away, only to open the other door so we could both watch. We were somewhere that was over looking a brilliant valley, but it might have been more impressive if it wasn't thousands of feet down. The TARDIS seemed to be perching on a cliff face overlooking the Grand Canyon.

"Y'know, I can see how this would be relaxing." He grinned, wrapping his right arm around my waist.

"How is this possible?" I asked.

"Oh, she has her own gravity, don't worry about that, Rose." The Doctor assured me.

"And... if I was to step out of the TARDIS?"

"You would die."

"Thanks for that clarification." I muttered. "We are mounted on a huge cliff face at a 90 degree angle, and you are telling me not to worry? Psh, thanks." I rolled my eyes, and returned his gesture, leaning my head against his chest. "So where are we?"

"Not Earth, that's for sure." he observed.

"Well done, Sherlock." I appraised him sarcastically.

"And where do you think he came from?"

"His mum." I replied wittily.

"How original." he snorted.

"Thanks." I said, a smile creeping onto my face. This vacation could work after all.
