AN: So I was watching an LPer on youtube go through Megaman Zero 4 (because frankly, I suck at the games and wanted to know what the hell happened), and I happened to glance down at the comment section on one part. One comment in particular caught my eye. This person had compared Croire to being like Navi in that she constantly circles your head in the game and then proceeded to do the whole Navi routine, with all the "Hey! Listen!" stuff. This tumbled around my head until this little drabble spawned.

Zero's eyebrow twitched. This had never been part of his job decription, he was sure of that. If it weren't for the fact that turning off his communicator would have Ciel in panic mode, he would.

"So it looks like they must have hooked the cannon up to a geothermal generator. Given that the scans come back with an abnormally high reading for that area, that would give them a nearly limitless energy source to utilize to their advantage. I'm thinking that the best way to cut if off would be to-"

Zero hacked through another guard droid and tried his best to tune her out. He appreciated the work she did, he was extremely grateful that she was acting as a navigator for him, he really did, but she was seriously starting to get on his nerves. This wasn't exactly new to him.

On the other hand…

His gaze turned to the little ball of light floating along nearby. Or rather, the little ball of light floating everywhere but nearby.

"Hey, Zero! What's that? That looks cool! Oh! What about that? And this? And-"

Croire's loud, excited voice was drawing almost every enemy down on his head, and he couldn't even tell her to shut up since she was still just a baby. Telling her to shut her mouth would just get her upset, which would make Allouette upset when he returned to base and then he'd have to deal with both of them giving him the kicked puppy eyes, which always made him feel guilty. It was enough to make him miss the older Cyber-elves. They were extremely shy due to how they'd been treated in Neo Arcadia, and you really had to work to get even a decent conversation with them, but at least they were quiet when they had to be.

Croire came zooming back, her expression ecstatic. "Hey Zero! You got to check this out!" She began flying around his head at dizzying speeds and ranting about something she wanted him to see. All he could make out was something about a machine and a dragon and huge…

Zero sighed and reached for the pouch at his waist, drawing out a few Energen crystals. "Oi. Croire." When she paused to look at him, he shoved them in her mouth. "Eat that and be quiet for a while, would you?"

The elf mumbled contentedly around the mouthful and hovered quietly by his shoulder as she ate.

For a few moments, there was blessed silence, much to Zero's relief.

Unfortunately…

"Zero! Are you even listening to me?!" Ciel's annoyed voice rang through his audio receptors.

Cringing, the red warrior held back a frustrated groan. He never got a break.
