Kiss the rain, Weep for the sun
The rain falls with no set pattern
One of the sweetest moments can be ruined by the rain
Yet my favorite memories were created because of it
Like the storm that stirred the seas, you stirred me
A light shower grazes the area
I guess that was how this story began
As the water droplets fall harder
I started thinking about running
The particles increase in size, as does my pace
Run where? I don't know, I just want to run
There is a breeze
The walk becomes a jog
It's getting dark
I just want to leave everything behind
It's cold
I keep letting things pass by me
Thunder roared, shaking the earth
I crashed into someone
Lightning struck, illuminating the sky
Casting a downward gaze, I keep going
The wind pushes my hair back
Someone is holding me back
The rain is stopping
I give up, I give in
The sky is brightening
I realized not to run
The clouds pull away
My world was turned inside out
Five springs later, it starts raining
At the altar I stand smiling
Looking into your face
I accepted the storm
Ironically on the same day of the seventh spring
I caught word that the forecast is clear
The rain has ceased and the sun returns
You're gone, the water is gone
I've built my life on the memory
I stand at the grave, the sun is strong
The storm passed away
Oh how I long to once again to kiss the rain.
