I never really realized what I was pretending to act like and be would turn out who I would be. Society today wants us to be two things, power hungry crazy people who only care about positions, money, and fame. Or people who are basically book worms who go crazy over certain things. What is the difference nothing. Just another campaign to get people to act how society wants them, but what is the in between. Where is that fine line where I can be who I want to be, not a book crazy, music loving, fangirl, but a person who doesn't care what people say about her, because she knows that her family love her. What is the in between?
Hi! I've been wanting to write something like this for a long time, and if I offended anyone, I'm so sorry. I just got the inspiration from a quote that I found.
"We understand how dangerous a mask can be. We all become what we pretend to be."
I also wanted to thank you guys for reading my other poem and I'll see what I can come up with next!
