SO! I have been doing fanfics for a long time, but they have all been self indulgances (I know I didn't spell that right!), and have never been published on this amazing site. Please R+R. If I get a good rateing for my first chapter, I will add more. I have so much planned for this story- it's going to be a long journey for our favorite couple! Please don't steal my story plot! Kthnxsm! xD!

Dear Diary…

Sakura slipped her bubblegum hair behind her ears. The light attached to her bed post was bright, and her head began to cast a shadow over her diary. It impaired her writing. "Stupid… permanent pen…" The young adult mercilessly scratched out her first sentence, and began to write again.

However, this new sentence wasn't good enough, either. Her fair cheeks flushed, and after several lines of scratch marks, and a bright, bitten lip, Sakura finally decided on the most plausible way to describe her day:

He has returned

Those four words caused Sakura to hold her breath and let the knot in her stomach to tighten.

HE'S BACK. HE'S BACK. HE'S BACK. OH MY GOD, HE'S BACK.

Her lips opened, sucking in as much air as possible. She didn't know how long it had been since she had taken a breath.

She lifted her pen again, and began to write so violently, it was amazing the paper didn't rip.

I was just walking through the village, on my way to work, when I heard someone say "That traitor Uchiha… I saw him, over in his part of the village."

I thought I was going to die. My heart stopped. Hell, time stopped. The Earth was no longer spinning. It was just me and him. It didn't matter how far away of a walk he was- he may as well been sitting in my lap, gently petting my hair. It felt so good. So good like him petting my hair…

AHHHH DIARY HE IS BACK.

Sakura's face was pained. Her smile… it wouldn't go away. She couldn't relax it. It was so happy. She was so happy.

I, of course, being the ninja I am, ran to the Uchiha clan center as fast as my legs would carry me. The wind was blowing hard today- it almost knocked me over, seeing as I'm rather light- but I managed to stay afoot. Sadly, by the time I got there, it was completely empty. Dead.

But he was there, and that's all that matters.

Sakura sighed. "What a relief!" She had let it boil inside of her throughout the day, the news, her little secret, hidden away inside her, burning to the point of bursting. She didn't want anyone to know. Not even Naruto.

" Sakura, are you alright?"

"Hm Yes, of course, Naruto, I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be?"

"Well, your cheeks bright red. And your eyes…they look like they are going to pop out of your head!"

"I'm never buying you dinner ever again, Naruto."

It was true, though. She had been emitting a glow all day long. A perfect, blended glow, a secret glow, one that she had been saving.

Suddenly, a long, chilled gust of wind blew through her window. Her bangs scattered around her face, catching onto her lips and resting inside her mouth. The pages of her open diary flipped, almost ripping from the book's spine. She shivered. Slowly, she stepped from her warm bed onto the cold wood floor to close the window.

"…Stupid window. Stupid fall… Though really, I love fall…"

"Sakura?"

Sakura jumped. Instinctively, her hands groped for the kunai under her pillow, and as her finger tips felt the cold steel, her hand tore from the pillow, splitting it, it's contents falling to the floor. She brought it behind her and began to swing…

"…"

Sakura's eyes were bugeyed, her mouth dangling open. Her body was like ice, frozen in time. It was going to take a fire to unfreeze her.

"Don't lose your cool. Never hesitate to kill."

Sasuke stared at the kunai facing his neck, smirking.
