Her heavy heart, head full of wonder
Laid down upon her pillow
Her eyes, all a-flutter
She drifted away from the world,
Cold as stone
A new land to see, a new girl
All alone
She dreamt of a darling boy
Deep into her slumber
One whose eyes shone bright,
As they struck her like thunder
A dark haired girl, satin dress,
Covered in white
Reached her hand towards her bright eyed boy,
Covered in light
Their fingers touched, then their bodies, then lips
Her bright eyed boy, dance with her
Holding her hips
A celebration, it seemed
People gathering around
Though the boy and girl,
Should not dare make a sound
They held on tight, but the boy,
Grabbed by outsiders
Reached back for his love,
'Twas too late, could not find her
Trapped in the mob,
She could not see her love anymore
She screamed and tossed,
Cried like never before
She did not understand
Why he was taken away
For they were in love,
And forever shall they stay
She awoke with a fright,
Looked around her dark room
She glanced down, wearing satin,
Pretty head full of doom
She looked beside her,
Feeling a warm, tiny embrace
For her bright eyed boy, holds her tight,
Shining face
He whispers to her,
"My darling, are you alright?"
Heart filled with joy, she replies with a yes,
And a goodnight
She lays in total darkness
Explaining her dream
For his eyes get wide,
As he had dreamt the same thing
"No worries, my China doll"
He whispers to her
"Go back to sleep, dream sweet"
He kisses her
"I can sleep soundly now"
She whispers to him
"I've found my bright eyed boy.."
Holding him tight, she grins
