Isaar fell to his knees, dropping both of his swords. He held his head in his hands as the throbbing in his head increased and the screams of murdered souls nearly deafening him. Nearby, the defeated form of the Ravager, one of his father's foul avatars, slowly disintegrated.

"Is-Isaar, are you all right? Oh my!" the slender elf ran over, with hands aglow, ready to heal the one she loved.

"Aerie…it's ok, I'm just…I don't know. I can feel the power rising within me and it frightens me…it frightens me a lot." Isaar reached over and put his swords in their sheathes before accepting Aerie's hand.

"You feel it, don't you, the evil power of the former God of Murder coursing through your veins? I have been by your side for a while now, and despite everything that has happened, you have maintained the good and righteous path, do not turn from it now!" Keldorn, the elderly paladin, sternly warned, his hand going for the hilt of his sword.

"No! You will do no such thing paladin!" With a hint of anger in her voice, Jaheria slapped her spear across Keldorn's chest. "I have known him far longer than you have and he is a remarkable symbol of balance. Despite the evil within, he fights it at every turn, bringing great good everywhere he goes."

Aerie pulled Isaar to his feet and he stood, shaking his head from the horrid visions that plagued him more and more the last few weeks, as his destiny began to unfold rapidly. His life was spinning out of control as the prophecies surrounding the Bhaalspawn came nearer to fruition.

"Honey, please tell me what's wrong…" Aerie gently put her lithe arms around him. Isaar still stood a little dazed and Imoen stomped over to the two lovebirds.

"Aerie…let me handle this." Imoen separated Isaar from his lover. "Snap out of it little brother!" Imoen slapped him across the cheek. "Remember, you will have a child to take care of soon and you still have to marry Aerie!"

"But…but I only told Isaar I was pregnant!" protested Aerie. All the men in the group were likewise surprised at the revelation.

"How do the ladies know something, which even Boo does not?" Minsc was in a state of confusion…which was not unusual for the addled ranger.

Jaheria laughed, "Aerie, surely you knew that we women know things…you can't hide some things forever." She glanced at Aerie's stomach, which had begun to bulge ever so slightly from the child within.
