Chapter 1
Of all the men in Pansy Parkinson's life, Harry Potter was never the one she thought she would end up with. Draco Malfoy had held that position for the longest time. This did not mean to say that Pansy did not appreciate Harry's looks; he had certainly become exceptional arm candy. However, even though she had looked (and ogled) plenty of times throughout her seven years in Hogwarts, Pansy knew she could go no further; a relationship between them would never work. They were far too different. She was a Slytherin, and he was a Gryffindor. He was brash, loud, and impulsive, while she was calm, ambitious, and reserved. Though she had a mild crush on Harry in first and second year, Pansy did not believe it could go any further than an unrequited crush. She expressed her crushed feelings toward the only girl that caught his attention, the bookworm Hermione Granger. However, in the last four years of Hogwarts, something had changed, something that made her unrequited crush requited.
Looking back on her fourth year after a truly amazing round of sex with her new husband, Harry Potter, Pansy Potter nee Parkinson can truly say that her younger self was wrong. After years of being the girlfriend and then fiancée of the Boy-Who-Lived, Pansy had never felt more loved. As she kissed her husband's bare chest and wrapped her arms around his torso, Pansy, urged by her husband's ministrations, fell asleep with a content smile on her face.
Of all the women that Harry Potter had met, Pansy Parkinson had been the most infuriating. It was only natural, really. He was a Gryffindor, and she was a Slytherin. They were supposed to be enemies throughout their Hogwarts years. Pansy had taken to the title like a duck to water when she joined Draco and his cronies; together, they mocked the Golden Trio and enjoyed ridiculing the "mudblood" bookworm, Hermione Granger, the redhead Weasley, and the Boy-Who-Lived. In fact, in third, second, and third year, Pansy seemed to enjoy deriding Hermione more than the other two-thirds of the Golden Trio. If anyone had told Harry he would end up dating Pansy Parkinson, he would probably have yelled at him or her and then hex him or her for good measure. Then, in fourth year, the year of the blasted TriWizard Tournament, something happened that completely changed his view of her.
Now, after one of the most amazing nights of his life, Harry looked down at the ebony-haired angel that was his wife. Nothing could stop the content smile from overtaking his face at the feeling of her ink black hair tickling his chest and her arms encircling his torso. As Pansy lightly pecked his chest, he rubbed circles on her side with his thumb until she succumbed to sleep with a content smile on her face.
Harry kissed the top of his wife's head, enjoying the smell of her lavender-scented raven hair before whispering, "I love you," and joining her in a dreamless sleep.
I really hope that I did well writing this since this is my first fanfic and I don't have a beta reader. Right now I'm depending on myself for editing and proofreading. With that being said, I welcome any and all critiques on spelling or grammar mistakes. I'm not quite sure about the rating though, since there is only one mention of sex, and it is completely non-explicit. If anyone who knows the rating guidelines better than I can tell me whether the story is rated T or M, I would really appreciate it so as not to get into trouble.
