The harsh winter wind blew as Harry, Hermione and Ron walked through the freshly fallen snow. Winter had just arrived and it was colder than ever.

Today was the trip to Hogesmade and it couldn't have come at a better time. The sixth years had been loaded with homework lately and there was no better way to forget about it than a trip to Hogesmade.

The three students sat down at an empty table in a tavern, which was known for the best butter beer in Hogesmade. Just as they sat down, Ron spotted Patsy Livingston, the new sixth year who all the boys had their eye on. Ron had had a crush on her since the first day he spotted her. She was all he talked about. Ron bolted up and snagged the seat next to her, which left Harry and Hermione alone.

Hermione had liked Harry ever since she could remember, she just didn't know if he returned the feelings. At times he seemed like he did, but she was never sure.

"Do you want to get out of here?" Harry asked suddenly.

"Sure" Hermione answered surprised.

The two of them got up without ordering anything, signaled to Ron that they were leaving, and walked out.

The cold wind made Hermione pull her coat titer as they walked down the snow covered sidewalk. She wasn't sure why Harry had wanted to leave, but she just went along with it.

After walking for ten minutes they stopped at the top of a small, stone bridge, which overlooked a pond that had frozen over. The only sound Hermione could hear was the wind blowing through the snow covered trees.

Harry turned to Hermione. "Hermione?" he said quietly.

"Yeah?" she replied.

"I have to tell you something."

"What?"

"I…I like you. A lot. I have liked you ever since I met you. I think you are sweetest most beautiful girl I have ever met."

Harry's words spilled out in a rush, but she understood them. She smiled and kissed his cheek.

"I like you a lot too," she said softly, "ever since the day I met you."

Harry smiled and grabbed her hand. They started walking again. They walked around Hogesmade and talked about everything until it was time to head back to Hogwarts.
